I'll gladly chip a tune in - I've got an almost complete version of Moonshine Racers, so I can probably make that contribution two tunes, considering I've got one more or less finished already.

Perhaps there should be a separate thread for this?

RE tribute album - I'm in :) Can we send the proceeds to a non-research cancer charity though? I don't want them poor 'lil fluffies being tested on with our money... Macmillan Nurses is a popular and just cause :)

Er, is the ball still in my court?

OK, time to take the bull by the proverbial horns, but the timelines look much better if we create a digital album and get Markie to do some duplication for BIT Live, where we also have a box.

I was tempted by the title: "Richard Joseph - Never Been So Much Fun", which would have appealed to him.

Any contributions are welcome, and all revenue ex-VAT will go to our favourite Cancer Charity (and it might well be a good idea to have a charity everyone can feel happy about, such as Tonka suggests).

No limit on the number of tracks, style or whatever, and the download album will include lots of bonus material, SIDs, and (Jops permitting), his Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll as well, etc. Or something. We'll just see what we can put together.

Just do something Richard would have enjoyed.

Zat OK?

Chris

I'll be making all my RealSID recordings of Richards tunes freely available online as max-quality mp3s soon - hopefully some of these will end up on the CD too.

Count me in also. If anyone has any suggestions for tracks that would make ideal orchestral rendidtions then please let me know.

Bloody hell. Take a long break from reading this forum and first moment back i read this news!

I only met him once - many, many years ago at a CBM Show in london. There I am at a Novatel, griping to Galway about how crap the music in 64 Renegade and Gryzor was, mention something about Barbarian on the 64, and he says:

"well, (hand gesture across table) Richard is also a 64 musician" - sure enough, RJ's been sat there 10 minutes - listening. And for me, at that moment, Galway could have exploded - I was sat next to, talking to, and sharing a very expensive drink with the man who created the music that, for me, is the finest, most intricate and, God damn it, biggest piece of 64 music I have ever heard.

It really is a sad loss.

Hmm.. I really dont know what to say about Mr Joseph since I so recently got into this community. I can say one thing tho.. and that is that I have never came across a more friendly set of people in one place. Its a group of persons that genuinly care about eachother. The world in general has a lot to learn ..

I'd like to be able to contribute in some way but I don't know how but to buy the CD or whatever comes out of it..
