Wizball remake finished

Post by smila »

grab it here - have fun - and let us know what ya think ;)

http://retrospec.sgn.net/game-links.php?link=wizball" target="_blank" target="_blank

seems some people have trouble on some gfx cards seeing the ingame gfx - if this happens to you just edit the config.txt to say windowed =false.

Thank you for this fantastic remake!! :D

I noticed one thing: the original Wizball is moving about twice as fast... I found it very hard to dodge the very fast shots with Wizball's slow movement.

Nevertheless... great job!! :worship:

You need to get Vice out and practice on the original mate ;)
Got to level 5 other night.
Easy once you get the hang of it :)
It's just a matter of keeping your Wiz 'balls' under control ;)

Managed to find a few minutes to play this... good, best remake of Wizball I've played. A few minor niggles, but that's just me - I love the original so much, it has to be damn good to live up to that.

Awesome remake! I just have a problem with the very slow vertical movement of the Wizball, compared to the original. The acceleration is Ok, but the max speed is too slow for my taste.

I'll play it anyway, no question! ;-)

EDIT: Oh, and not to forget, the game music by Infamous is really fantastic!!! I especially like the intro music (subtune #4 of the original SID).

Found a bug in the bonus level (or is it a feature?):

After you shot the first extra life Wizball, move your Wizball to the center-bottom of the screen and you're invulnerable to the first 3 enemies and their bullets and also to *some* (not all) of the following foes.
