Requests...

Post by Doddsy »

Do you ever get requests to remix popular sid tunes from the general public and would you be obliged to have a go at them if asked? Suprisingly I've had a few people requesting sid tunes to be done and I've put them on my 2013 to do list...it's the least I can do for them ackknowledging that I remix tunes. :D

Good thing you weren't lazy back in 2001[1], when I talked you into remixing Future Shock[2]

[1] Just dawned on me that this was released 11 (eleven(!)) years ago last week.

I got some good suggestions so far. I don't know if they belong here but working on co-op remixes are great fun, too.

The remixes I most enjoyed doing, or which came out the best, were co-operations with other remixers, even as far back as Back in Time 1 where Mutants was redone one Sunday by me and Waz Pilkington, or where Rob Hubbard himself provided some MIDI backing for his stuff which was way better than I had done.
Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?

True. And as much as I love the other renditions of it, Max Halls version still tops them all.

But I'd still love to hear what you can do with it.

Future Shock is a jolly tune and would work well with bagpipes. Sadly I can't play bagpipes.
