I guess those will be "Entertainment"-consoles, basically a TV with slots to exchange some core parts like graphics adapter, sound card, etc. Hardwired to whatever comes after Internet. You will not own the thing but "lease". Everytime you use the thing, you have to pay; everytime you play your favorite game, you have to pay. Switching off the Internet-connection is a major offense, altering programs (e.g. creating your own programs) is a major offense. Switching off the online camera and microphone is due to a prompt house search. Everytime you do something wrong (like letting somebody else play who hasn't paid for it himself) you get sued.

F*ck this future of corporate leaches!

That may sound ridiculous, but if business & society keeps on track with the current trends, it will be a fact even sooner than we may think... Actually, Microsoft has planned much of that for their next Windows generations. Google for "trusted computing". Sooner or later we'll have to work on the old Commodore computers again to have *some* privacy ;)
