Was a full version released publicly?

On the BIT 1 CD-ROM, I think. That was a real treasure trove, so expect that to pop up again in file-form sometime :)

Having checked, there are two versions of Black Lamp on the first BIT CD-ROM, the one in question here is v1 :)

You know, trawling through it again brings back some memories...

I have NightMares because of BIT 1 CD-ROM. Its my first CD that got Laser ROT or CD ROT.

I've since had many other CD-ROM's that were Burnt get ROT.

But BIT 1 CD-ROM is awesome!!!

Which is partly why I copied the CDs to my HD when I got them.

The other reason being my previous PC at the time had immense difficulty in reading the discs properly. Must have been some strange media incompatibility.

I wonder about that CD-rotting.
I have burnt CDs here that are 10 years old and none of them is falling apart (though I made backups for the case).
Is that an issue with certain media or just luck for me ?

You've been lucky :) I've had different CD-R Brands go bad on me. My First MAME Set on 3 CD-R which could be read perfectly 7 years ago are now riddled with CRC Errors. I've tried reading them on different drives even older drives and no go.

And I keep min CD-R's in Jewel cases stored in Filing Cabinet in a temperature controlled environment with Humidifier running and everything.

I have cardboard boxes stored in a dark cellar with minor humidity so the cardboard isn't rotting. CDs are also in jewelcases.

I plan on getting airtight ammunition boxes for better storage, laid out with papier mâché.

@Vosla: Today, there is not one single kind of storage media that does not require a backup. So you should always have a second copy of data that are important to you.

@Chris: Thanks for the comments! I wonder where my BIT 1 CD-ROM is now. I just remember that back then I didn't like it as much as the album and then put it away, but I can't remember where.

But it looks as if I've copied the files over before that. Can anyone give me a track/song listing so I don't have to post every single song here?

@Marcel: Sorry, only 2 MB of webspace! I've put a very short excerpt here permanently for you: http://www.kim-homann.de/temp/terra.mp3
Is this by you?

Yes, it is and it's made around 1991 - 1992

Great job! Even measured with today's criterion. Why not submit this at RKO? It'd get an "Outstanding" from me on all accounts.

I have this version on my BIT2 CD-ROM. It is an 8MB Mp3 file.

If its ok and anyone is interested I should be able to host it.

 I know that. It's my job ( well, right now as a 1-Eurojobber) to do such things among others.
