Ok update :-

http://baa.ovine.net/d6a.zip this is a full download (10MB so far)

New cockpit that shows the TRACK name and below it the "author/composer/all round music genius"

Press SPACE to goto flight mode and the tracks randomly shuffle (75% chance of a change)

Fade In of sample removed, fade out is still there to avoid any clicking

TRACE tracks inserted into the packs folder

This is fun

fllight mode (pressing space) works really well.
just letting it randomly choose tracks while you chill.

PS: So where is everybode with theire own loops? :D

This all looks and sounds mighty fine but I am not sure if it is just my PC but the loops are being cut slightly... they don't run at exactly 114BPM - more like 115bpm or 116bpm so the next sequence comes in too soon.

Will work on the Skitz packs when I get a moment :)

I've tried getting Skitz's midi tracks - but struggle to load them into my (ahem) version of FL Studio 7. Anyway we can get them in a different format ?
Just downloading the latest update and looking forward to pumping up the volume tomorrow (tis late tonight)

Cheers for all the efforts - promise I will get some done myself, but we really need big names like Trace and Skitz (and others) to beef this project up to the excellent potential Smila and Stu have provided so far.

It's a remake/Remix of the Delta Mix-e-load. THe tape version of Delta allowed you to change the instruments of the tune that was playing, so you wouldn't get bored. Her's part of the entry of about Thalamus, the company that did Delta :
The C64 version of Delta popularised the concept of the Mix-E-Load loading system. Provided as standard on the cassette versions of each game (and as a bonus on the floppy disk versions), the Mix-E-Load system allowed players to remix the loading music of the game, in real time, as the main program loaded in the background. Mix-E-Load was created by Gary Liddon in conjunction with Rob Hubbard and derived from an idea by Nick Pelling, author of well known BBC Micro games Frak! and Firetrack.

Are you talking about the "Delta_Mix-E-Load_Scores.rar" attachement I made to this thread? The LEAD and BASS sequences are general MIDI data exported out of FLStudio 8 and I checked that they play in WinAMP as general MIDI. You should be able to import them into any sequencing package - not just FL Studio. They were intended just as a guide for people to create their own sequences as I thought the idea was to create new stuff rather than just replicate Rob's original bits. For example, I was going to produce an R1D1 bassline taken from my remix of that track so it can be selected as a bass. The leads are obviously more difficult seeing they have to follow the keys somehow so using the lead of another SID is going to be a challenge but definately possible I think

Markus, of course you bloody can! This is the beauty of the framework approach and the structure that Gary Liddon, Rob Hubbard and Nick Pelling put together all those years ago!

I have started a little document on the framework which hopefully will explain things:

Everything works fine here bpm wise :D

@LMan: I can send you my Reason setup of all the imported midi's ready to be changed and stuff :D
I wish there were some way to make all the loops in one keypress in reason, now I have to move the loops pointers for each loop I want to wav out.
