Hi guys,
I downloaded the Daniel England windows Xsid program for Windows 7 to 64,
but i was not able to create the midi file from a sid and neither the pwm midi values and the filter.

I think a developed program where it is not clear how to use it is completely useless. :(

I hope to receive an answer from Daniel England
or from someone on the forum who has the patience to write me the steps
or even better that they explain me with a practical example with a video uploaded on youtube and take an example a sid file,
and it shows how choose the subtrack of the sid to convert,
how to obtain the midi and how to export the pwm values you have to various sid 1 sid2 and sid3 and the right filter value
to understand all the various steps to be done and how to do it,
in order to use it too and who has it desire to exploit its potential,
thanks in advance for the support you will give me.

Never heard of this tool before. Here's a link for those like me: https://github.com/M3wP/XSID

You need to convert a SID to an XSID and then convert the XSID to a midi file. I had a quick play with it. Results seem okay, considering the time spent.

Steps I took

Download Repo from Github
Extracted windows_x86.7z from Distribution Folder
Ran SIDConvert
I completed the configuration. You need to have a copy of Songlengths.txt (you can download it from HVSC here: https://www.hvsc.c64.org/download/C64Mu ... engths.txt) and VICE for the vsid.exe file.
I dragged a SID file in (I used Rob Hubbard's Crazy Comments) and clicked convert. (it saves to the folder that was selected during config)
Opened up XSIDtoMIDI
Selected the XSID file, I created and clicked Dump All
A MIDI file was created that was playable.

thank you for the quick answer, I read your guide,
but I had some missing files like Songlengths.txt that
I'm not sure about you except right, inside I find a list I attach the first sid that appears tell me if the file I downloaded and imported?
[Database]
; /DEMOS/0-9/10_Orbyte.sid
6897307ef63533962667412848c92124 = 1: 17
and the vsid.exe I found by downloading in emulatore of c64 VICE 3.4 and I was able to load!
but nevertheless I was unable to create the midi following your written guide!
then make me happy and show me through a video capture program like Bandicam so as to see all the individual steps?
take as an example the sid TURRICAN under track 2 and make me a video on youtube and put it for everyone's benefit if you want
or you can send it directly to my email address, you choose, as you prefer!
thank you again for your availability
