Current fave 11 players - Premiership & other

As a fun off-topic topic and because I eat, sleep & breathe football, here's my top 11 players of the current season:-

Carlo Cudicini
Mikhael Silvestre
Wayne Bridge
Sun Jihai
Rio Ferdinand
Robert Pires
Steven Gerrard
Frank Lampard
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Thierry Henry

How refreshing to look at the list and see that there are a few English players in there. :D Not in the majority, I agree, but that's not important in a fantasy team. :)

Haven't forgotten the foreign leagues either but there's not a lot of difference in my world current favourite 11. I would have Zidane in in place of Wright-Phillips but otherwise, the line-up is the same.

Let's get some more debate going on topics other than retro-type stuff (which is still great obviously). I'm sure all you non-football lovers would agree with that (as long as it's not about football, of course).

Whoops. Sorry about this one then.

Actually, to be honest, I must say congrats to Boro for winning.

Certainly the best team of the season in the Carling Cup anyway. :)

You probably already guessed I wouldn't, Paul. But kudos to you for having two Man City players in the top eleven of the season.

Shaunie Wright Wright Wright would definitely be in mine as well, which reads not that much differently to yours:

Antti Niemi (Southampton)
John Terry (Chelsea)
Wayne Bridge (Chelsea)
Sami Hyypiä (Liverpool)
Gareth Southgate (Middlesbrough)
Robert Pires (Arsenal)
Thomas Hitzlsperger (Aston Villa)
Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City)
Alan Shearer (Newcastle)
Thierry Henry (Arsenal)

Subs:
Brad Friedel (Blackburn)
Lauren (Arsenal)
Matt Holland (Charlton)
Nolberto Solano (Aston Villa)
Nicolas Anelka (Man City)

Pretty much an intercontinental XI that one. But still an ace team, and there's six English players in it, can't be bad. Of course I refuse to name any Scum players in there.

I'll be sharpening my knives ready for the impending clashes with Donny. Those riot police are a bit handy with their big truncheons and no mistake.

Only joking.....officer.....

Good to see Shaun Wright-Phillips got an England call-up, but Robert Green? That man couldn't catch leprosy in a leper colony!

There wasn't enough talk of other leagues here mateys.

Here' my current ultimate Bundesliga side:

Jens Lehmann (Ok, damn he's with Arsenal now...)
Torsten Frings
Chritian Wörns
Bordon
Michael Ballack
Micoud
Leonardo Dede
Ailton
Jan Koller
Roy Makaay
Miro Klose

Som players here would have the same position but I'd bet they'd beat the ***t out of any side anyway. 8)
