Marcin Majdzik's original SID is outstanding; it captured everything I love about C64 music and rekindled my interest in music from the demo scene. I'd been away from SID remixes for a couple of years after the hard drive crash, but decided to have a go it this after stumbling across the demo BSOD on YouTube. Trawling through my back-ups for drum samples for this remix, I found my other lost tracks.
As usual I didn't want to change the arrangement too much, just put a bit more meat on it. As the track came together it took on a sort of disco sound, so I went with that. It was done rather quickly but it did sound a lot more tight than anything I'd done before (including the lost
remixes). With hindsight, maybe some more variation in the drums would have helped but there's not much else I would want to change.
