Story
1942 High-Score Theme (You Were There) is based on some lyrics that I wrote way back in 1986 when the game came out. I'd almost forgot about them until I found an old tape recording that I had done with a friend, with an altered version of the lyrics.

This version drips with irony! You have a lounge-singer who thinks he can sing well, singing about a love that is tragically cut short, which then gets backed up with a Louis Armstrong-a-like singing What a wonderful world in the instrumental section. Add to that a cameo appearance by Sanxion, some comedy-style sound effects and a tired and emotional M.C.Splonge at the end and you have You Were There!

Lol, it's certainly different. Well done.
Awkward!
Haha, bad singing but totally hilarious! Actually with quite decent instrumentation too. Nice work guys!

Never fails to bring a smile to my face! Brilliant! 😊 The singing, the lounge atmosphere, the instrumentation... The only bad thing about this remix is that I cannot listen to this SID tune any more without hearing Boz's lovely voice. 😊
