Re: Tomorrow is Zombie Nation day
I thought this case was done and dusted about 10 years ago with Zombie Nation paying Whittaker a substantial sum for the use of the riff?

Re: Has the c64 remixing scene declined in popularity.
I guess thats probably the answer; there are more quality remixes being produced so not everyone has time to listen to them all. And before it was just for fun to remix a tune but now it feels alittle competative and it breaks the whole fun of it... Sure I like to compete but it has in the first pla...

Has the c64 remixing scene declined in popularity.
Hi all, I've been watching recently the amount of downloads remixers are getting and I believe its nowhere near as much as what it used to be. For example, when I first joined the scene in 2005 most remixers were averaging around 3000-5000+ downloads now they are lucky if they level off at 2500. Why...

Re: dear RKO staff ...;-)
Michael Geiss was JMJ's sound designer. So he would come up with the sounds or design instruments Jarre wanted. Alan Wilder had a lot of input in Depeche Mode. Basically, Dave was the singer, Martin wrote the songs, Fletch did the promo work and Alan mixed the final songs, produce the live backing t...

Re: dear RKO staff ...;-)
I think if your not happy with some of your past work and/or people have stopped listening to them and you feel it doesn't represent your musical skills now then, if it is possible without too much trouble to get them removed then why not. Commercial artists with old albums and singles in particular...

Re: They Stole A Million suggestions for remix name?
Cheers for the feedback Analog-x64 and Mordi much appreciated. Your headphones are not deceiving you! The mix is unbalanced haven't got round to mixing it down yet and will certainly address the imbalance as its clearly there so thanks for pointing it out! :D I knew there was something not quite rig...

They Stole A Million suggestions for remix name?
Hi sid remix fans! I'm just putting the finishing touches to my remix of They Stole A Million. This one features my guitar, trumpet and synth/drum production skills. I'm not sure which remix name to use though as I have a few in mind. When I first heard this from Ben Daglish I think he was going for...

Re: Good free "retro" VST's?
Demo scene mods were done by mainly using Noisetracker type software. These used samples and sometimes chip music (Octamed) which was then crunched to fit on the demo disk if it was a large file. You could emulate an Amiga or C64 and use them to make the music running a tracker program or use the re...

Re: Going back to my roots!!
Should have a new remix featuring my trumpet playing skillz in the next few weeks. Hasn't been easy though the trumpet is pitched two semitones down from your piano standard pitch which means everything has to be transposed for the trumpet. I've had to thicken up the brass sound a bit with some synt...

That looks cool and a good alternative to the now expensive Sidstation.
Looking at the order list on the main website it just shows that there is still a market for sid synths. Too bad they have run out of them!

Update just found out that if it was possible to get it as a tap image you couldn't save your work anyway.

What remix genre style to you prefer?
Hi sid and remix fans! This should be interesting. What style or genre of music do you mainly prefer your C64 remixes to sound like?
I've put more than one option to vote for as well as Other in the poll -so if you do vote for that one tell us what the other style is!
