A sid tune that still seems to be missing in the HVsid collection that I've often looked for is the title theme from a demo by the group OFFENCE. The demo had a precalculated OFF! logo semispinning. Of more note was the SID tune with samples with a very clever sliding panflute type instrument among...

Re: 5 Channel C64 sids..
... I did not think were actually possible - I knew that it was possible to to some clever tricks of your were playing back sample loops only etc - but not 2 channels of independant sample playback! Sure is. Try some of Mark Wilson's if you don't believe me, especially Xenomorph and the intro tune ...

Ben Daglish's other band he's in at the moment
Just in case you haven't already had a peek at this yet, Ben last year joined a band that does blues shows and Jethro Tull tribute concerts (which means that flute of his gets some mileage, and that's an understatement). The band is called Cold Flame, and have a peek at their website to download som...

I personally enjoyed this one. If Reyn hadn't have already done such a good job with it, this would have been the best mix of it. As it is, it pushes Reyn very very close indeed. It's really nice and catchy with a lead that sounds very very like the C64 version (nice synth work if it's not a C64!). ...

Thanks to everyone for putting their point across. I thought I'd better clear some things up from Infamous' post. as long as the conceived idea is something that breaks away from being your average stereotypical boyband/sash/trance artist of your choice style bullcrap Indeed. That's why my music col...

I'd like to add: If you want to please wazzaw, that is. If you want to please me, do whatever YOU like to do. I don't want to stop creative forces, Mahoney. I can even remember your C64 SID output with some fond memories back in the day, and some of those were purely for lots and lots of fun. Indee...

Folks, I'd like to start this post off by saying that from my own personal point of view, I agree completely with LaLa with respect to the Sweet remix. The orchestral parts are all very well, and would for me have made a great remix alone as it showed some really nice ideas. However, there are some ...

Re: Defender Of The Crown
WTF dude? Are you saying the game was first made on Amiga? It's a fact. It first appeared on the Amiga in 1986 with the C64 conversion a year later. Also see: http://www.cinemaware.com/robinhood_main.asp This is from the programmers Cinemaware themselves, who've also done the new PC version Neil wa...

Re: Defender Of The Crown
The main theme tune is kinda remixed orchestrally from the c64 version Actually, as the C64 version of the DoTC theme is based on the Amiga one, more likely it is covering Jim Cuomo's Amiga classic original. Nonetheless, having heard it on that PC game, it's poor. Very poor indeed, as Vic Reeves mi...
