I don't think there's anything wrong in having a commercial aspect to the remix scene - afterall, most of us have bought the BIT, Remix64, PPOT and other CDs - and if it helps keep the C64 alive then why not? Let's be honest, no-one's going to get mega-rich from the C64 or it's music but if someone ...

From my point of view, I'm funrdaising for an annual non-profit making sci-fi event to try and bring some actors over to the UK but that takes money (several thousand pounds each... and that's with them coming over for expenses only). We're trying to raise money for charity as well and we decided th...

I've tried a few things in my own small way too. I've got a few streaming tracks on one of my ewb sites from some of the BIT CDs (by arrangement with Chris, of course!) and I'm releasing a DVD-ROM next year that's going to have some licenced tracks again with tracks embedded into files which will se...

Time for me to jump in on this one...!! 8) Purely from a financial point of view, you have to locate an event where it makes the most sense to get as many people attending as possible (so a central location for your key audience is a must) as well as the best location for your guests. In addition, y...

It's not a C64 one, but the fastest loading one I remember was a Vic 20 Q-Bert clone from Anirog, Hexpert. It only took about 4 seconds to load!!

3) I can't remember the game/company (might have been Silverbird) but there was one that let you play a version of Qix while the game loaded Ah, maybe you're thinking Micro Painter, which was on Wild Load as used by Players sometimes? Yup! That's the one! Typical - I've got a few of the old Players...

I'd have to narrow it down to one of four... 1) Invade-A-Load (yeah, I know everyone's going to pick this one!) 2) Mix-E-Load (one of the reasons I still use my C64 and a great reason for using tape instead of disk!) 3) I can't remember the game/company (might have been Silverbird) but there was one...

I'll be putting direct links to the BIT Live site, C64audio.com and this forum in the main item description part and stating that it's a fundrasing auction in all the BIT Live auctions that I'll be doing so it should help a bit! I've had some c64audio.com banners on some of my websites as well for q...

Chris, Another bit of fundraising I'll be doing for you - I've got some C64 bits I'll be sorting over the next couple of weeks and listing on eBay and posting the links here and I'll be putting all the proceeds from these to the BIT Live fund. I don't know exactly what the items will be yet, but obv...

Like I said in the other thread Chris, I'll be buying another t-shirt probably next weekend (I keep wearing the one I got at the first BIT Live all the time still)!

Thinking about it, I might order a few as prezzies for some friends... 8)

I was only able to listen to the stream on Slay Radio but I've got to agree with everyone else - it was an absolutely breathtaking performance and simply captivating.
