Vincenzo vs NP tracks
Rage of the emperor: Chip metal composed by Vincenzo, guitars by me. It won the Function2012 party streaming music compo last month: http://soundcloud.com/strayboom/rage-of-the-emperor Bad Bassist demo #2: 'Bad bassist' is a SFZ pack by Strayworx, emulating a not-so-tight bass player. Re: C64: Mass Effect
Good luck and have nice SIDding I've been doing one or two things as you know. :) Of course, I meant it with SIDwizard :) It's a really nice little program and I found it extremely efficient. At the moment I'm creating sound FX and tunes with it for some future releases and it's workflow spared me ...

I'm not on a mission of talking you in or out of things, but really, SW is much less of a headache than most of these interfaces you're talking aboutKate-Z wrote:Thanks again! Dont think I can get my head around those C64 trackers tho.. I'm spoilt now by gui's and windows interfaces!

Re: C64: Mass Effect
You create SIDs using Vice, Necro? Would you mind giving us a walkthrough? I wouldn't mind extracting the music from a few games. I mean, my own SID music :) http://noname.c64.org/csdb/scener/?id=20082 I'm only interested in creating them so I don't have a clue about ripping tunes out of other prog...

Re: C64: Mass Effect
As an another tool for the quest (The Quest), this brand new native C64 tracker has a quite efficient MIDI to tracker converter: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=109698 It is under development but later releases will be downwards compatible. If you don't have a working C64 around, don't worry....

Re: c64tracker song :P
Nice stuff. If you want to make it authentic C64, try SIDwizard: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=109698 as it has a MIDI -> SIDwizard converter that works fine if you keep some simple rules.

Re: What do you prefer VST or Hardware.
VSTi fits my workflow much better. I tend to burn too much time on being lost among settings and concentrate less on actual music content when I have too many knobs around so when I compose I force myself to use the necessary basics only. I love to work with hardware when it is about recording anywa...

Right now? The same track again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
Maybe, I'm mixing something?
