Damn, he was only a couple of years older than me. This is sad news indeed.

Re: Hippel tune
Yeah, I think so - the snare is way too "psh"-ish for my taste in the original.
The intro of the original song is epic, the sound is really powerful even today (in a chip tune way).
Check the original if you haven't already:

Re: Hippel tune
That seems to be correct, after googling RSI Theme I came across a Thalion site which refers to the remix in my link as "R.S.I. Theme (Hands on Hippel)".
Thanks for the help

Hippel tune
Does anyone know the real name of this tune? http://www.amigaremix.com/listen/1852/Gunnar%20Wagner%20-%20Hands%20on%20Hippel.mp3 The tune is very common in various Amiga cracktros and it was not until recently I discovered this was one of his tunes. I really like this tune, except for the snare soun...

Re: Amok - POP-IT!
Hey, sweet stuff
I've always liked your style, crisp and clear with funky drums.
Cool tune with a little different melody (different in a good way). It almost sounds like an instrumental cover of a song with words.
I'll definitely add this to my playlist.

Re: Please remake this cool Amiga tune!!!!
Oh boy, did I love this song! It's extremely monotonous but the gritty sound and cool drums kept me listening. I agree with Razmo in that if remixing this song, the grittyness must be kept and the song don't have too much to build a full song from. But it's perfect for a crack intro. Another nice tu...

Re: My mother died today :(
I'm very sorry to hear that :( My father passed away about 2 years ago and I know the feeling. I still think of him almost every day. The nostalgia with games and music becomes even more powerful since he died because when thinking of the time when I actually played the games or listened to the musi...

Re: Training need some Unzy suggestions.
I suppose you mean remixes since you post here :) daXX has made numerous Amiga remixes with unzy sound if you want a whole bunch of tunes. Superseghe dell'Amore e Citofono (For Yer Heart) comes to mind by DHS, I think he made some other unzy tunes as well. There are some more but I can't name them f...

Re: Announcement: Instant Remedy / Immortal 4
Thanks boys for your words, although I wish I could more like you Trace and release tunes more frequently. 2-3 years between releasing stuff is a long time. I miss the feeling of uploading a tune just after finishing it, looking at comments and discussing etc. I'll have to do that some day too.

Re: Announcement: Instant Remedy / Immortal 4
Ok, so the progress is halted for me for some time now. Lost Patrol is finished and came out the way I wanted so I'm satisfied. I've been photographed by a friend so there will be some nice photos for the album and promo. I have yet to write some texts for the remixes, what my thoughts were with the...

Re: Announcement: Instant Remedy / Immortal 4
Just checking in to tell you all that I'm actively working on the CD. Lost Patrol is finally coming along and starting to sound the way I want it to. In avarage, a remix takes about 2 months to complete currently. I only have time to spend on the music during weekday evenings so I don't get too much...

Also using Renoise
Modplug is the best freeware tracker IMO. If you are doing XM's, it's pretty accurate for what I've tested with it.

Re: Monkey Island Remix
Hehe, I didn't mean I liked it, just that you might like it if you like butchered classics in a trance style :) It's pretty repetetive too. A couple of years ago, I kind of liked some of the dance/trance remixes of pop classic etc. but I've really started to dislike the supersaw leads that always ar...
