Re: New SID to MIDI conversion tool
Okay... I've been using the tool a bit now and I must say, the results really are much more accurate than from SID2MIDIw which I've used in the past. I'm rather enjoying it. And... From the update log: - Instruments are numbered from 1 instead of 0 to match MIDI track numbers. - Instrument number in...

Re: New SID to MIDI conversion tool
Yeah, I already knew that but thank you very much. I just turn range checking off for the whole unit. By the way, I got a 64 bit version working. I'm not sure if I'll upload the changes right now because my MSVC skills are poor and I'm not sure I did it in the best way there. I'll have to see. Also,...

Re: New SID to MIDI conversion tool
Yeah, I used to write heaps of comments but it got to be a waste of time. Oh I forgot to upload that change. The problem is in the LZMA units. You need to have range checking off in one of them. I'll check which and upload it. I'll also check that its not on in the Release build. Thanks for your fee...

Re: New SID to MIDI conversion tool
Hey, cool. You're a Pascal (Delphi) programmer? If you're reading the source code, I apologise for the general lack of comments. I'm still getting to that... Everything should be fairly easy to understand though, I've tried to name everything with meaningful names (well, except local variable...

Re: New SID to MIDI conversion tool
Heya! Well, I thought I might as well upload it now. I had to do the documentation and I wanted to more exhaustively test and add a few features but it functions so I put it up. You'll find it at: https://github.com/M3wP/XSID . At the moment, you will need to use the SID Convert tool to convert the ...

New SID to MIDI conversion tool
Heyas! I'm pleased to announce that very soon I will be uploading my new SID to MIDI conversion tool onto GitHub. If there is anyone else interested in it, I will expedite the process. So far, it has these features: - Very accurate instrument/patch detection (complex waveform shaping detected) - Ver...

Re: Convert midi to SID
Heyas! Okay... I have the first alpha-ish version of MIDIToSID up on GitHub at https://github.com/M3wP/XSID/tree/master/MIDIToSID . Presently, it only supports Format 0 MIDI files and only produces XSID dumps for PAL XSIDs. You'll need to convert these dumps using DumpConvert (in https://github.com/...

Re: Convert midi to SID
Heyas! I thought I'd let you all know that I'm working on a tool to allow you to convert and play MIDI files on a virtual SID on your PC. I have created an XSID format and a suite of tools that allow you to play tunes without the CPU, CIA and VIC emulation. These tools are already on GitHub at https...

SRX remakes of C64 tunes
Heyas! I've remade some (hmm... quite a few now) C64 game tracks on my SRX synth, giving them a "HiFi feel". I've just released volume 2. I've uploaded them on SoundCloud. Take a listen. https://soundcloud.com/m3w_p/sets/c64-srx-hifi-remakes-vol-1 https://soundcloud.com/m3w_p/sets/c64-srx-...

Re: New to board
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. Yes, I'm starting to be more aware of the problems you guys mention. I think they are both from my listening environment with some degree of issues with my equipment... The room I'm doing the tracks in is terrible for it and the speaker arrangement is a real proble...

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Heyas! I've put in another post already but I thought I might as well add to this thread since its stickied and I didn't see it before. My name is Daniel, I'm 40. My current "handle" is M3w_P (or mewpokemon) - its a long story. I'm a software engineer from Australia. I got my first C64 at ...

New to board
Heyas! I'm new to the board but I've been listening over at RKO for a while now. Some of the tunes have been amazing. I've been working on bringing some of my favourite SID tunes into the modern day, giving them a "hi-fi" sound using my Roland SRX class SonicCell sound module. The SonicCel...
