Re: Looking for a SID with arpeggios
Thanks for your suggestions, omo!
Unfortunately it'll be unlikely me playing some of that stuff live due to heavy lack of time
for preparation. Maybe I can insert some kind of intro somewhere....I don't know.
But at least I'll save that for some possible future remixes.

Re: Looking for a SID with arpeggios
[edit] Oh, and Wizball doesn't really have arps in the sense I was thinking (really fast 'wibble' chord arps, y'know) so in that respect, Ocean Loader or the Armalyte stuff probably wouldn't work anyway. To be honest I was in fact searching for the "really fast 'wibble' chord arps", just ...

Re: Looking for a SID with arpeggios
Thanks for your suggestions! Well, I found a quite easy way to play C64 style arpeggios on guitar and I thought about doing some kind of short interlude based on a well-known SID-tune in the upcoming Breakpoint concert, e.g. like this http://romeoknight.net/Stuff/Wizball_Test.mpg But it was just a t...

Looking for a SID with arpeggios
Hi,
I'm not asking for remix suggestions (thus posting here)
but I have a slightly weird question:
What's the most famous/best known SID that makes extensive use
of those typical C64 arpeggios?
(Why I need to know that I can answer you when I finally found a matching SID...)

Xerxes, Romeo Knight and Bendik again@Breakpoint 2009
Hi, although the initial plans for a 2nd concert at this year's Breakpoint demoscene gathering -> http://breakpoint.untergrund.net/ were scrapped because the party's main sponsor called off, the party organization team finally collected enough money to let it happen again! Only 2 weeks left to prepa...

Re: Learning to Play Instruments at an Older Age
I hear this question (or concern) quite often and the best answer for me is always this: I started playing guitar being 22 years old. It took me about 4-5 years to achieve the technical skills that made it possible for me to almost play everything I wanted (with the usual exceptions of course :-)) I...

My band at Coca Cola Band Competition 2009
<shameless self promotion> Hi guys, the new band I recently joined ( http://www.myspace.com/njected , as a bass player this time) needs your support! We just made it to the TOP 50 out of hundreds of bands competing at the Coca-Cola Soundwave Discovery Tour 2009. We've been chosen by a commitee of mu...

Re: Darn MIDI timing on PCs!
Since moving to softsynths, I have not followed the timing problem issue. I remember there used to be expensive timing clocks you could build into the PC and tell Cubase to sync to that, or something. Part of the timing problems used to come from working in a multitasking environment, like Windoze,...
