Re: Guess what I got!!!

That's a shame. I can somewhat relate: I have a pigment dispersion syndrome in my eyes which causes fluid+pressure build-up. I take daily drops and get examined by a glaucoma specialist every few months.

Hope your situation resolves itself smoothly,
cheers.

Re: Cybernoid WIP

What school did you take your sound class at? I studied recording/production at Fullerton College, if you're familiar with it. I can make a quick comment on your mix: it's a bit much on the LFO auto-panning. Take the 16th-note bass pattern for instance; what if instead of auto-panning you split it u...

you can sort of do this for some formats at the modland interface, by searching for instrument names that match.
Come on now, if you're stealing other people's samples the least you're going to do is change their name :)

Re: Meta Exotica

it will also become possible to create graphs and statistics showing sample-reuse which could be quite interesting and the oldschool scene was and is quite vibrant and many people reused samples: can can then see where cross-fertilization appears This aspect of your project has the most potential t...

Re: 5 Best Pc games According to you.

Did the OP turn out to be a bot? Oh well. Most of the PC gaming I did was back in the DOS days. To hell with a top 5, I'm gonna list a few games I killed time with by category: First Person Shooters: - Doom 1 & 2 - Rise of the Triad - Duke Nukem 3D - Spear of Destiny Platformers: - Jazz Jackrabb...

Re: Meta Exotica

Hmm, I don't know of any open source code (MikMod, ModPlug, etc.) that can import AON or ML modules... what player do you use to even play them?

Re: Meta Exotica

Novel idea, certainly. You could poke thru the source code to libmikmod for parsing tracker files, it's hard to come across the specifications for those old formats but I remember finding some on textfiles.com's Programming->Formats section . The HVSC already has a metadata collection, the STIL . In...

Did you ever notice how bananas work the opposite of traffic lights?
For bananas, green means STOP, yellow means GO and red means where the hell did you get that banana?!

Re: Quick music theory question !

I'm not sure if that'd qualify as a pedal point; I don't really hear much harmony going on, just parallel motion in the melody.

Hopefully you'll get a second opinion, I have a peripheral knowledge of music theory.

Musical paint-by-numbers. And he plays the bass line wrong on the repeat.
Yet... still a far better impromptu trance than I could perform.
