The whole Soundwavers crew is leaving the scene.

Post by DHS »

Hi all,

don't panic.
Here's something for you, c64remix sceners, something we want to share with you.
It's both sad and.... happy.

The facts:
TSW isn't releasing anything since october 2002. This is due to many factors, many some of you already know and some others...
In those months, the most "unknown" member of TSW, Pyratronik, who has a decent "pro" past, me and Njoy have been very busy producing and sending away demos of our work.

Finally, something happened.
Something unbeleviable, but, actually, it happened.

A well known music producer from L.A. hired us.
Not only.
We have been hired to remix 3 singles (and maybe more, if they will sell well) from a *hugely* popular female popstar. His name begins with "M" and ends with "A". If you guessed, good for you. If you don't, we, we can't state anything with a name to the world by now :)

As a result, Pyratronik, NJoy and Me are leaving for L.A. in 15 days from now. We'll be working in a unbeleviable studio, with unbeleviable pros.
The amount for each remix is still making me stoned, expecially thinking this is the first time we *approach* a world we never tought we would have in our lifes.

We'll have 3 "full comfort" (as they say!) apartments in the producer's estate, very close to Beverly Hills.

As a side effect, i think we'll have to leave the scene, but (promise), I'll try to put some of my SID love in those works :)

Bye all.

Nah. Not on April 1'st. I never really got the concept of April 1'st. It's the only day it's ok to trick someone, but at the same time it's the only day that it's not ok to get tricked. Because getting fooled on April 1'st is kind of embarrasing. But generally, no one falls for anything on April 1'st...unless they don't remember what day it is, or if their mind slips for a sec...or as me...just got out of bed.

So, yes...I did get fooled today, not by this, but the radio guy said it was "Wednesday the 2'nd of April" yesterday and I thought "Wednesday? I thougt this was Tuesday. What day is it? And isn't it Arpil 1'st?". 20 seconds later I realized he was joking. I blame it on it being early morning though...

Another problem with April 1st is that I've seen people distributing great news and of course no-one believes them! :)
