Another little quirk I've noticed... the view new posts button. On phpBB2, it would show posts since the last visit. Now it seems to just find any unread new posts.

Yep it's a "bug" as I call it with phpBB3, it happens on some other boards using that software. It seems to flag up the "new posts" icons on threads when you don't read them, even if there have been no new posts in that thread since you last visited.

I don't like it either mate! Not sure what you can do bar hitting "mark forums as read" after you've finished each time. Mind you one place I go to seems to eliminate that "quirk", maybe I'll inquire how it is done...

Funny this place went over, is this the summer sudden migration? Three other boards I go to just switched to phpBB3 in the last day or two!

LMan, it's a nice change, and there's even an update pic of yourself!

Help Misser get the avatar going. It's worth it. :)

I must say that the visuals have gotten a nice facelift, haven't noticed any "new" problems I don't use a lot of fancy features though.

Edit:
Is it just me or are the email notifications offline?
I noticed several posts in a thread I've posted in and I have not recieved any e-mail about those posts.

LMan wrote:Tried it, got the error message "Your images may only be up to 40 pixels high." Yours is 53px so I guess there's the problem. I'll alter the limits to 468x60px to accomodate standard banners.

Try it now :)

Is there a setting for generally opening links contained in posts in a new window/tab?

This is a feature in some Forum Software.

What I do is using FireFox I simply press the <CTRL> key and click on the Link this opens the link in a new tab.

Usually, the middle mouse button (or click on the mouse wheel) will open a link in a new tab as well.

It is, but with an annoying quirk.

If you've live bookmarked the RSS feed (like I do in Firefox) clicking on a link within that feed doesn't go to the relevant post of the topic anymore that you'd click on like it used to - it always goes to the first one.

Seems that the # symbol with the post number is missing.

Any ideas?

Works in MSIE7, too. Thanks!
