More stolen music? This time by Scooter?

Post by Zeb »

Just been lstening to Scooter's latest album and on track 9 of CD1 (called "Whistling Dave") there's some blatant computer music of a classic Russian tune. Not sure which game it's from but I think Rasputin comes to mind.

Parts to look out for are two occurances during the track and something at the end but I'm not quite sure.
1:09, 2:49 and 3:30 for those of you who don't want to listen to all of it.

Just interested on everyone else's take...

If it's genuine Russian folk music it's probably copyright-free/traditional...

it's sampled from the gameboy version of the game.
already used in the 90's for a dance track.

You mean in Tetris pop song that was release in the UK in 92?

It was performed by a band called Dr.Spin, and it is simply called TETRIS. It was the 'brainchild of Producer Nigel Wright, and Andrew Lloyd Webber it reached reached No 6 in the UK charts by October 1992, despite being awful. It just Takes Tetris and adds 2unlimitedesque beat and sounds.

I think this is Mario Rap in question.

SuperMarioLand Ambassadors of Funk featuring MC Mario

My knowledge of awful 90s music is good.
