bit memories

Post by Infamous »

Seeing as so many of ya'll missed out on the event i thought to myself....i know what ill do ill ask all those that went to bit to stick their favorite memories of the event up on here and then those that never managed to make it can peice it all together in their own heads.
good idea?
bad idea?
i dont care im starting it anyway :-p

1st thing i can think of to start ya'll off is waking up at 4am on friday morning to throw what i believe to be a stick for my chips at larsec in a desperate attempt to alleviate the snoring.

there ive started lets see where it goes :-p

My faded memories (C)

Post by Pete Abbott »

My day kinda went like this, ahem, limbering up the vocal chords..

Dum dum dumd DEE dEE dEE, <cough>

<clears throat to intro music>

Well the people coming in through the door
Mobbed the stuff that was all over the floor
And the discs we sold were yet made to be
On the tables being sold off by me
But with fans to the left of me, d00ds to right
Here I was stuck in the middle with Kenz.

Well I got those disks out mostly all right
And those d00ds who helped me, they did alright!
Well it hadn't been for their bright ideas
And the fact that some had too many beers
It was chortles to the left of me, buyers to the right
Here I was stuck with my own PDQ....

My Brother Frank he turned up alright
Like Billy Connolly out on Saturday night
'Cept my bro was like, 17 foot tall
And his shoulders took up most of the hall
But it was BIT to the left of me, STREETHAWK there as well
Here I was, stuck with a big demo crew......

And I ask myself did I do alright,
It's a kewl and funky Saturday night...
The people danced like crazy you know
And old Martin won't forget it at all...
Beers down his T-shirt, oops, and bands like, taking off
Here I am glad to be here with you......

Well the night it wound up roundabout 2
And my Car was clamped, I don't know by who
But Chris came to the rescue you know
And the evening went by ever so slow
As I couldn't find my tent for me
So Instead home I went you see
I got home roundabout 7:32....
Headrush d00d.

Pete.......

The best memory was ofcourse to meet all the great people! I mean, really! How often are you surrounde by SO MANY friendly people in one go?

Part from that, I have one (or several) memory that can be summed up with: "What's with the hair?" ;)
Seems no one recognised me from my pictures with this hair. It started from square one, when I met Mahoney and the guys at the airport and the second thing Pex said to me was: "Oh, you've got so long hair!" :D
It's really not that long, it's just wild. Gene Wilder wild. ;)

For those of you who don't get what's with all this "what's with the hair", here's what is is:

Worst Memoery and Best Memory:

DEFLEKTOR

1) FOR GOOD: Excellent version of an excellent tune

2) FOR BAD: Not getting that day-ho day-ho thing out of my head and constantly humming it for the rest of my breathing life.

Heh, yeah. "Day-ho day-ho" was the first thing I said when I woke up the following morning. :)

My best part was listening to PPOT and the worst was expecting the exhibition to be fairly large only to find it was in fact quite small!

Makke>> I did wonder what happened to the hair but didn't want to ask :D

The best bit ......... ALL OF IT (especially DEFLECTOR and PAPERBOY) ..... The Dancing PPOT.

The worst bit ...... a place as big as the Brighton Centre not owning as simple a thing as a marker pen lol....

Would have been a bit bigger but for bad luck, and we did the best we could. :? I think what was there was worth the £5 asking price.
