Questions for Bob Yannes (SID designer)

Post by FromWithin »

I had a thought. I work for Creative. Creative bought Ensoniq. I must know someone who knows Bob Yannes. So I asked. He's not at Ensoniq anymore, he's doing "stuff". But apparently he's still contactable via the medium known as "the Grapevine".

The last interview with him was 1996, and he hadn't heard any of the music that we all know so well. And how cool would it be if we could get him to a future BITLive?

So, presuming I can get in touch with him, what questions do you want me to ask him?

That would be what makes at least Danko go "I can't miss this one!"

heh, from the interview 1996:
Have you heard the tunes by Rob Hubbard, Martin Galway, Tim Follin, Jeroen Tel, and all the other composers ?

I'm afraid not, are recordings available in the US?
