Recently discovered Robert Byrne. Very poppy west coast rock. Yacht rock, basically.

You might also like Gino Vannelli (Canadian artist) first thing popped in my head when I heard the Robert Byrne stuff.

I'll check out Gino Vannelli.

I recently bought my first physical CD since maybe 2001. :P
"Free for the Evening" by Rick Bowles. It's a Westcoast/AOR release, made in 1982. Features Robert Byrne and Brandon Barnes on background/musician duties. Solid album, I'd say.

Unfortunately I still don't have time getting creative myself, but at least there's some time left for exploring new music. Since this year I'm totally obsessed by a music style called Retrowave. That's new Synthwave in absolutely 80s style. I'm literally listening ONLY to this kind of music the moment I dived deeper into the scene. It combines electronic music with nostalgia. You can find tons of stuff on Youtube, especially on channels from New Retro Wave, Luigi Donatello or others. I guess you're familiar with names like Mitch Murder, Miami Nights 1984 or Waveshaper. Check out some examples of my favs:

Man, I could easily post another 100 vids... :worship:
Ok, just another one. Just because it's that great, both the track itself and the video:

Isn't it a great combination? Neon, electronic music and 80s! Yeah!

Paul Draper - EP One

Former Mansun frontman returns with his first solo material.

Also worth checking out The Anchoress - Confessions of a Romantic Novelist, an album Paul made a lot of contributions to.
