D00 player for the Mac...

Post by mrsid »

Here is a small goodie that I promised earlier. EdLibPlay is a tiny little player for Vibrants' EdLib music (also known as D00 files).
EdLibPlay uses an emulation engine that tries to ensure a high-quality rendition of the original AdLib chip sound. The GUI is simple with no frills.

Requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, runs on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
Oh and by the way, the EdLibPlay package also includes a collection of nearly all available D00 music files for your listening pleasure. With proper filenames and headers.

This player uses the original code from JCH inside a little PC emulator to play the D00 file. No reverse-engineering of player code was done.

There are plug-ins for Windows mp3 players available that can play .d00 files.
For example this one here: http://www.oplx.com/code/
