C64 remixes in Tour de Ski broadcast
Hi! I was just watching the Tour de Ski (cross-country skiing competition) broadcast on NRK (Norwegian public service TV channel), and was very surpirsed to hear C64 remixes played as background music during slow motion footage of the athletes. I'm not sure who produced the program, but I thnik toda...

Church bell sounds
Hello!
I've been stuck on a remix for quite some time (over a year...), but I hope I just cracked it; I need some church bells! Please, can anyone suggest where I might find church bell samples or a VST? Thanks

Re: Playing SIDs in android?
Wow, DroidSound works great! Just installed it, and Ahman Bedad's Sweet Alien played perfectly :-) Trying GRG in Cyberspace right now, but that seems to require more processing power than my cheap phone can provide. Playback is okay, but a bit choppy. This is bound to become my favourite Android app...

Playing SIDs in android?
Hey! Just bought myself an Android phone, and need some tips on how to play original SIDs on it. Are there any sidplayers available, or should i try using a C64 emulator? Any suggestions? And what real C64 SID player would you recommend for emulators? Has anyone made a dedicated HVSC player? On a si...

Re: Current SID "trackers"
I'm glad to see some more people wanting to discuss this topic :-) I've been listening to the 8Bit Mayhem podcast with recordings from the X2008 music compo for awhile, and so far I think Romeo Knight hi spot on. I can't hardly believe the technical acheivement, and I'm amazed at the programming / a...

Current SID "trackers"
Hey! I just listened to the 8Bit Mayhem podcast featureing compo tunes from X2008, and it left me very impressed with the sounds the SID musicians of today are creating. This makes me very curious about a couple of things 1. Is it possible to explain in a simple way how Mixer & co. are able to p...

Re: Sunday Service website
Wow, Reyn, this is amazing! I'm totally speechless... Just wanted to let you know the mp3 links in the Archive don't work at the moment. I just get a "We're sorry, but we can't find the page you requested" type of error. Hope you get them working again soon :-) And while you're at it you c...

Connecting a 128D to a PC
Does anyone know how I can connect my C128D to a PC to transfer files? I decided I want to finish Head over Heels, but the disk is broken... I'm useless at electronics, so I need a way that won't require any soldering... Can I buy a cable or some other kind of interface anywhere? All the information...

Tonka - Belong
Hope I got the title right... Anyway, I heard this on SLAY Radio last night, and it waa totally brilliant! Can anyone (Tonka, for instance :-) tell me where it's from? Can I get it anywhere, or do I have to wait for that Tonka album? It must have really been good to stand out after listening to Reyn...

8BitMayhem problem
It's Remix64 Spamming day here at the office :-) I spent last night trying to make my UPnP server software (TVersity, great stuff!) distribute podcasts to various audio devices around the house, and ran into a problem with 8BitMayhem. I wonder if I'm using an obosled feed URL or something: <a href=&...

Boying a SidStation, maybe
Hoi! I just spotted a SidStation up for grabs at a net auction, and I'm thinking of buying it. I'm a little worried that it'll just end up collecting dust next to the rest of my music gear, but I'm still hoping to find time to become a musical genius some day :-) So, how much would you pay for a Sid...

Jucke's experiMENTAL SIDShow
Good morning, SID fans,! I'm having a great day at work, listening to Jucke's experiMENTAL SIDShow instead of writing boring software requirements. Go Jucke! If you haven't downloaded it yet I recommend you do - it's four hours of fantastic sid music, and (for me at least) virtually all the tunes pl...

Lead instrument samples/plug-ins
Hey! Seeing Kristian Røstøen posting a remix preview here kinda motivated me to get back to work on my own first try. I left it because I couldn't find a good lead instrument, and now I'm hoping someone can get me back on track :) I'm doing a simple tune by Link/Vibrants in Renoise, and I gues...

Losts of great info here! I'm definitely going for FireWire now, and I'm pretty impressed that you all know so much about hardware in addition to being great musicians :) But I guess you're sure to be a bit geeky when you're hanging around a C64 remix forum :D I still haven't decided what product to...
