Oh no! Another Lightforce remix

Yeah, Another Lightforce remake [exturl=http://www.sid.fi/~mixer/Mixer-Lightforce(preview_v2).ogg]Mixer-Lightforce(preview_v2)[/exturl] I've wanted to keep the original melody as intact as possible, but add some unz from the unz can. Gotta do some work on transitions, and perhaps completely breakdow...

Re: What sequencing package do you use? Rsn, FL, Cbs, Renoise?

Since 199x Steinberg I've used Cubase series, currently working with Cubase SX 2.2 for many years. Prior that I used Dr.T's KCS, which is still my favourite midisoftware. I am Currently planning on upgrading to Cubase 5 and to a 64bit platform (Intel i7 920 with gigs of fast ram) Vista or Windows 7 ...

Re: Overclocked Remix "Reset Generation" Remix Contest!

Interesting compo and generous prizes too.

However, after listening through the material I have to confess that I seriously dislike those reset generation tracks. Not my cup of tea or what ever those 2 girls had in their 1 cup.

Re: Jean Michel Jarre - World tour 2009-2010??

I saw the indoors concert in Helsinki 16.5.2009. It was absolutely wonderful to hear all the classic Jarre tunes live. Though the sound was typical arena concert type and I did not find it special in any way. The concert itself was bit unevenly paced and there was confusion at the end whether the co...

Re: Current SID "trackers"

This is quite an old thread already, but as one of the authors it ispired me to write a few lines about what was involved in making the Vicious Sid 8 bit tech and the Fantas tune. There have been many questions and new suggestions about what is possible and I wanted to map some of this discussion. S...

song recognition?

I found this beutiful tune \HVSC\C64Music\MUSICIANS\T\Tinnitus\Asterion\Song_Of_The_Dryad.sid Stil.txt does not mention this tune but Tinnitus website mentions the tunebeing of celtic origin/influence. This sounded so familiar to me that I am sure that I've heard this somewhere. EDIT2009-03-09: Got ...

Re: BIT Live Stockholm 2008 (Sept 13th) Tickets available NOW!

Thanks Andreas for your efforts, I've been in contact with Mika, it however appears that we have a different plan, though we will see about that. Also, the boats from Helsinki are already surprisingly well booked for that weekend so it makes sense to act now. I do not think that anyone is making a s...

Re: Reducing Hall

I am sorry , I do not have a picture, but what I meant is that you can make a similar device as the commercial one. It does not need to be from all the fancy materials. Thick fabrics absorb sound well. Even brown cardboard box could help a bit. Almost any suitable material placed symmetrically at a ...

Re: Reducing Hall

No need for expensive stuff, unless you really want to :) It may be enough that you build such an absorber yourself out of an old mattress or something similar. Try stuff and you'll realize how it works. In a similar experiment I and my friend recently fixed a concrete wall home theatre room acousti...

Re: BIT Live Stockholm 2008 (Sept 13th) Tickets available NOW!

Yes, things worked out, Thanks Andreas.

It looks like it is going to be a boat trip from Turku or Helsinki to Stockholm - BIT party overnight and a boat back in the morning.

Any finns who'd like to join the trip?

Re: Some stuff

Yes, original sids are Analogue by Jeff and Meanwhile The Planet by TBB Analogueplanet is a re-remix of 2 of my remixes, Analogue and Meanwhile The Planet. I was playing around with Traktor DJ and that combination sounded wicked so I worked a bit from there on. My ear nerves have been reorganized by...
