Re: Killing spree in Finland

OK, so there's a confused minor who gets questioned by the police, since he has supposedly been planning to commit a massacre at his school - not exactly the kind of thing people do when they are in a mentally stable condition. And what do they do afterwards? They just send him on his way back home....

Commodore Amiga medley titles revealed

Almost a year has passed since the "Immortal 3" album premiered during the first European concert of PLAY! in Stockholm, Sweden. This weekend, PLAY! is back - and so is the "Immortal" team: we have joined forces with Merregnon producer Thomas Boecker and arranger Jonne "Purp...

New Chris Huelsbeck album

Video game music veteran Chris Huelsbeck is going to release a new album - his first in ten years (not counting the "In the mix" sampler by ZYX). Release date of the new album is August 22, 2007. The CD will be sold for the first time at the Fifth Symphonic Game Music Concert exclusively, ...

I'm a bit surprised that people here on this board don't seem to be very enthusiastic about this event (at least I have the feeling that is the case). Thomas Boecker has pulled off a fantastic series of game music concerts in Leipzig in the past and I'm really glad I was able to attend most of them ...

As you have probably noticed already, March has been a very sad month for the "Immortal" team. Only few weeks after the death of composer Richard Joseph on March 4 I received the tragic news that German game musician Ingo Nugel had also passed away - Ingo arranged the music from "Ghou...

Over the last months, some more reviews and articles on "Immortal 3" have been published in German printmags, e.g. "GEE", "Amiga Future" (issue 65) , and another article + interview in "Maniac". That French review written by Mahendra Tallur for "Amiga Pow...

"Space Cabaret" limited edition

There also seems to be a limited edition papersleeve version of the "Space Cabaret" album around (Japan Import, Label: Strange Days, POECD 1086). I have recently found a copy on Ebay and it was described as an exact replica of the original TRA album there. I'm not sure if this item will be...

All I can say is that I'm extremely grateful I got the opportunity to work with this man on several projects over the last years... I cannot believe he's gone now. Farewell, Richard - thank you for the beautiful music, and thanks for being a great guy! You will deeply be missed... http://www.zottman...

To be honest, I hadn't thought of a myspace account so far, but that could well be an option! In the meantime, there finally has been a detailed review of "Immortal 3" in French: http://amigapower.free.fr/ap37.html - I had a glimpse at the article and they gave the album 4 out of 5 stars o...

Nice stuff, but I must say that I have already found my "holy grail" when it comes to headphones: the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO http://www.musik-service.de/images/ProduX/000001658j00.jpg When my old headphones literally fell apart a couple of years ago I wanted to buy Sennheiser EH-2200 firs...

Signing off for 2006

My last post for 2006... sorry for the recent lack of news - not much has been going on since my last update (apart from the announcement of Chris' and my involvement in the European tour leg of PLAY! , of course). Ziphoid's review for R64 is still in the making, as are the articles in "Amiga P...

Indeed, thanks a lot for posting this - I especially enjoyed the "Super Huey" arrangement immensely! This track was arranged by Paul Norman himself? I guess it was meant to appear on the ill-fated "Project: Norman" album then? Another glimpse at what could have been. Can you reve...

Maybe some of you (mainly the Germans in here) might be interested in the rather new German language printmag "Retro": http://www.retromagazin.eu - their first issue features a rare review of the "Revival ST" album. Just out of curiosity, has anyone eventually read it and knows t...
