Re: aufweidersehen monty.. again
I like it, but you've got to change the instrument at the beginning. The sawtooth blip sounds awful, and although retro is the theme I'm sure you can replace it with a less irritating sound. When the drums kick in it sounds really good, but I would still consider adding some additional backing to fi...

Re: International Karate by Rob Hubbard, Rock
I couldn't agree more, you've licked the chords and the playing is very good too. As mentioned the background instruments need work, but if your speciality is guitar then there's no criticism there. I also love your C64 sample touch too. A lovely nod back to the simplicity of the origin of the origi...

Re: BIT Live 20xx
(2) you go to see people and have some stuff happening in the background which you may or may not pay attention to? I'd say the last venue at London BIT was just like this! However, when the acts were on, people did pay attention (or were given an opportunity to properly enjoy the act - i.e. dance)...

Sounds fab. Look forward to hearing how things are going with the plans (or are they still to be formulated???). London is easy for anyone in the UK, so Subby, you've no excuse

Disasterradio
Anyone of heard of this guy. Pretty cool. Calling himself the ASDA Kraftwerk, he includes elements of C64/vintage synthetic sound mixing together in a Kraftwerk / Devo bastardisation - and he does it well. :) http://www.myspace.com/disasteradio Lots of free stuff out there, and a bit of a cult follo...

Re: Confusion [blade reconstructed]
I'm thinking it's crying out for a heavy breakbeat loop instead of those nancy hand claps....although I'm sure they're there just as a filler until inspirations strikes

Re: Ziphoid is new Remix64 admin
Just wanted to add my thoughts (and ignore the previous few comments) Thanks so much Lman - for a great job. I did get finally get to thank you in person at the last UK R64 event which was great. As for the choice of Ziph, it's spot on really, and I for one didn't realise he had been so involved so ...

Re: Warhawk DS remake - NO CREDIT TO PPOT?
@ Spacefractal : Good stuff boys! Whether I'll actually be able to play the game is doubtful, but good luck with it, it looks smashing. I'm really pleased as punch you did everything right, and I didn't appear to want to sh*t stir, but over here (Remix 64) there have been lots of instances where stu...

Thrust game - remake (excellent)
I've seen a number of decent THRUST remakes, but this one is just awesome. http://wiebo.wordpress.com/my-pc-games/ Having said that, it's crying out for a decent soundtrack or remix of the Hubbard classic to complete the game EDIT : Further down the link page is a more traditional C64 conversion by ...

Re: Ghosts'n Goblins SID vs original
I thought I heard somewhere that the original opening of Cookseys tune was ripped from a classical piece? I think, after the opening the rest of it is all original.
I'm thinking Commando is a classic example of the SID version blowing the original tune away. Any others ?

Monotron ??? Coming 2008
Sorry Tonka, but I've been really looking forward to this release. Any news to report ?
Here's hoping things are still going well, and it's just a slight delay in release. I think we'd all prefer a later release if it means getting it right.
No pressure....

Re: our bruce lee remake is finished
That's cool indeed.
Just a quick question though....I presume all code is done in Blitz Max? Looking at their site, the coding aspect looks nice and old school and I wouldn't mind taking a closer look. What is the best version to buy to code both 2d and 3d stuff ?

PS: So where is everybode with theire own loops? I've tried getting Skitz's midi tracks - but struggle to load them into my (ahem) version of FL Studio 7. Anyway we can get them in a different format ? Just downloading the latest update and looking forward to pumping up the volume tomorrow (tis lat...
