How about "The Sacred Armour of Antiriad". One of my favourite pieces of C64 music. It's fairly funky once it gets going, I'm sure you could do great stuff with the main melody on your violin (or "guitar" as I have been known to call it ;-)

Anders, You can vote for whatever you like, but I'll only be including the ten that get the most votes. The "now" bit is primarily referring to things like C64Audio, BIT CDs and live events, this message board, remix.kwed.org, etc. but you can certainly vote for recent releases, commercial...

Thanks for all your votes guys, please keep them coming! To respond to a couple of questions: Matrix: Hello mate, how's it going? Been quiet of late as I'm experimenting with what "retro" game to remake next now that my last project is finished, so I'm deep into C++ and physics engines at ...

Your favourite piece of C64 music?

I hope this hasn't been done a thousand times before (sorry if it has) but this seemed like a good place to post. I'm currently in the planning stage for writing an article on the C64 music scene ("then and now") for a national magazine, and wanted to include within it a "top 10"...

License required for ringtones?

I used to run a wap site that offered free downloads of original polyphonic ringtones for some of the newer phones (Nokia 3510, etc.). Well actually, I still do, but I removed nearly all of the content last year because it was pointed out to me that it was all being used without the proper licensing...

Spot on, those were the ones I remember hearing. Many thanks for that.

Can anyone recommend any other similar style MP3s along the same lines as these?

Shaking Rob Hubbard's hand was the best moment of the day, seeing Mark playing the violin was up there too. :)

Interval music

During the intervals at BIT Live Brighton, a number of tracks were played that were remixes of old C64 songs, but they were being sung by a woman. They were fairly ambient and sounded great.

Does anyone know what these were and where I can get hold of them?

Many thanks,

i was wondering - just HOW did you get those sprites to stretch so smoothly ? !! Top Demo :) Methinks by changing the vertical positions of the sprites on every rasterline. Amazing that we still end up wondering "how did he do that?" about C64 demos after all these years, it was a very ni...
