Re: AROK #12 2010
Aww I've posted it in NEWS but as it seems this forum thread was quicker... Okay, here is the link for the party: AROK #12 It is an annual 8-bit meeting in Hungary in a rather nice place called Ajkarendek (just a click away from lake Balaton), the 12th in a row, this year from 16th to 18th of July. ...

AROK #12 2010
Hey folks, If you have any questions about the event, don't hesitate :) I'm not promising that I'll be able to answer questions in the next minute but I'll be around. I'm sure that most of you know more about remixing than I do but there is something that came to my mind that may ring your bells: SI...

Re: In need of audio / mic recording advice
I must state that I've never used Linux extensively but as far as I can remember even my Linux user - WIN hater studio buddies use Windows XP or some older MAC system for recording. Despite its obvious flaws, for a PC base, maybe Windows would be a better choice for an audio workstation. There are l...

Re: Synthetic guitars do NOT work
The tune is nice, indeed! As far as my experience goes, using synth guitars is always a fail, unless you try to think a different way about them. They do their intended purpose very badly due to full lifelessness. Too many player-dependent sonic features change in a real guitar sound that is impossi...

Re: 10 tracks from past til now...
EDIT - some of the links probably will not work due to a server maintenance I had to do recently. I won't fix it but tracks are available this way or an another if you need them, just contact me. /NP Foreword: ...If you really wish to hear some of my best moments with a musical instrument in my han...

Entorpy doesn't work... :D If you don't take it as the song title but by the meaning of the word - it must be one of the most hilarious forum comments I've ever read to date :D Nice original music, guys! I like this thread. In a way or another, C64 remix scene really inspires me to go back in time ...

Re: Cybertracker question.
Yeppah, getting a floppy drive is inevitable if you wish to have a headache-free authentic C64 SID workstation ;) I use my old C64IIC "The Beast" for testing purposes only (with my old OC drive and X1541M cable - the normal X1541 cable doesn't work with newer PCs), for SID composing now'da...

Extra levels, better graphics... Add Robb to the scales and the C64 conversion wins it for me

Re: What remix genre style to you prefer?
Ticked 'other'. Most often I like stuff that are odd in a way, go a backwards direction or have some kind of mixed/undefined style. Orchestral and dance/trance tracks rock my boat the least but there are many exceptions.
