Re: What are you listening to right now?
I actually still had the album too until we moved to Canada. Unfortunately it didn't make the "packing' pile in the sort out. Looking back I should have kept it because as you said, regardless of how manowar always seem to be ridiculed this album is an easy entry. The ELO or Styx of metal?? heh

Re: What are you listening to right now?
The er.. 'Turrican" album still brings back good memories . heh, This, on the other hand, is weird to say the least? Maybe they are looking at a more electronic/modern feel to that bass.

Re: Beginner seeking advice on remixing
The only word of advice that i could possibly offer is one that I was guilty of, and that's the 'overload factor'. It's far too easy to overload yourself with countless free Vst's each sounding different or doing different things then getting 'lost' in the search for the next fancy sound or effect. ...

Re: Cracktro Tune in Street Gang (C64) wanted
A quick google search does mention the Redsector one, and it also has raster bars, though looks like the cracktro used an actual 'RSI intro' here . Here's a link to a screen grab of that one, ring any bells : http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=32048 Checking all the cracked versions on CSDB, the...

Upgraded software to FruityLoops10
Wandered through Future shop this afternoon and came across a special offer on FruityLoops 10 Boxed, So I caved and purchased it. Anyone care/know of any pitfalls or general suggestions when using this? Not tutorials, just little quirks or oddities that could save me hours of head scratching before ...

Re: More Classical
NICE!!!!!!! You just can't beat REAL strings and brass ( the build up at 33 seconds .. a sweet spot in that one ).. The barbarian cover was awesome and Monty, man that has the groove of a 70's TV crime caper. Well, 'carry on' caper maybe heh.. Thanks for the heads up Chris.! Here's a closer lo...

'Frontpage Issue 15' Dynasty Mix wip2
Tidied up the first part, changed a few instruments and started the second stage.. Guitars are live ( took my feeble guitar playing skills a long time too heh ), and a little loud in this mix, but I'm nearly there.. Any advice or comments would be appreciated, It's one one of the few remixes I've fe...

Re: Back to it.. And some help identifying a tune
Not sure if garbage is it's destination, We have an old P3 downstairs that I'd like to have to run Mame on, and let little'un do with what she will. Picked up a matrox Millenium too, but that ( after I got it home ) turned out to be some custom compac thing with an additional section in the edge con...

Re: Back to it.. And some help identifying a tune
Commie, I bought the awe just for the EMU SFont disk heh.. It's an Awe32 value edition, lacking the SIMM slots, and to be fair It'll end up in the garbage.. I had an Awe wayyy back, then swapped it out for a Sb16 with DB50 attached to it's waveblaster connector. But the Emu soundfonts are a little g...

Back to it.. And some help identifying a tune
After a busy 10 weeks with the secondborn, finally getting time to play a bit.. ( sighh, colic, allergies and midnight feeds aside ) . Picked up an old Awe32 at a garage sale and scored a bonus EMU sampler soundfont CD for 5 bucks so finally getting to use some nice sounds.. Anyways, I've had this t...
