Re: Videogame inspired EP
I especially like "Racing For Pole Position", it's somehow a cool combination of Synthwave style and nostalgia. Well done!

Re: Synthwave
Some more stuff. On the last two tracks I used a mono bass for the first time, cutted everything from 0 to 200 MHz into mono. I guess I will do that in future with everything I produce, and maybe there will be a remaster of every older track someday. PHsR8SW9DvU ptg7cDe0BUA b5mtAeMtE2U ZESAIpQfb98 g...

Re: Synthwave
Hey Pakz, yes, I'm trying to get a "fuller sound" by using paralllel processing since the latest track. But the videos on youtube aren't the best example for judging the sound, the quality isn't the same if you compare that sound to the sound of the MP3 or even the wave file - or the original. Here'...

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
All right, a decision has been made. I'll go with Sidizer. Native Instruments absolutely sucks, even their native access won't work on Windows 10. There's absolutely no way to make the program run, so I can't install the Reaktor player anyway and so I can't use inSIDious. That's the way it is. Like ...

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
The Reaktor Player is less hassle than I thought. In my demo tune I had 19 instances of it running; it basically acts like a loader. In my case I set up a Reaktor Player vst in Reason Studio, loaded inSIDious into that. All other instances I just copy+pasted, and it acted like every other instrumen...

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
the Reaktor player seems to remember the last instrument I had open in it, so as soon as I open the Reaktor player (that's how it shows up in my VST list: as "Reaktor 6"), it opens with InSIDious already loaded, so in that regard, it's just like any "regular" VST: add "Reaktor" to your track in you...

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
It's not that I wouldn't enjoy doing that, but for me it's mostly about lack of time. SIDizer comes with "only" 100 factory sounds, plus you can buy an additional 170 sounds in two soundbanks. OTOH, InSIDious comes with over 300 presets for the base price... Ok, this makes the decision even harder....

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
Those SID sounds can be used in every music style I want to create, it fits for Synthwave as well as for Elektro. And it generally adds some "oldschoolness" to the tracks, which is cool. Yeah, the limit is only my imagination, but I'm also limited by my skills creating own sounds. I'm that type of g...

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
Thanks LaLa, this is quite interesting. I've read on KVR that Sidizer is more a mixture of an oldschool SID and modern effects, is that right? What would you guys think is the better choice, inSIDious or Sidizer? Or is it that different that it wouldn't be a mistake buying both? Or is inSIDious real...

Thanks! Yes, I try my best being busy in music, but I can only be creative between my work, sports and some gaming. Time's too short!

I'm struggling making a remix, so I continued making my own stuff. In case of Synthwave as follows:

Re: Your favorite VSTi's and VST's?
inSIDious \o/ That's what I want since my quadraSID isn't working anymore (I switched to a 64bit system, bridged quadraSID, but now I need a new key for reactivation). Is inSIDious finally working without anything else, or do I need to download and install something else like a player, too? I hesit...

Re: Synthwave
Thanks, man! :) There's some more stuff right here: mp6DFHG6b7I 4WRYG9ojm6w And as a ninja I wanted to create some "ninja music" in Sythwave, but I'm not sure about the result. Should I make an intro (with wind and stuff like this), a sequence and maybe an outro? I decided not to do so because I don...
