Re: Modern Comic Bakery

Those C64s might even be programmed to dial in 911 and in the lovely voice of SAM explain the situation to police. A good idea, but I suspect the emergency operators would only respond: "Mr. Hawking, if this is about the space-time continuum being threatened again, I'm afraid I have orders to ...

Re: A break from music...

I used to play drums in a punk band, and never use earplugs when we practiced. Luckily it never left any permanent damage. Well, not to the ears anyway. Nowadays I try to be careful (even though I like loud music in my headphones). I hope the ringing goes away, Trace, and that you'll be back to musi...

Wow. Weird, but cool. Very mid 90s.

I don't have any comments more than "I like". :)

Re: Anybody feel like singing? (Makke?)

Hahaha, this is fantastic. Yeah, I'll give it a go. Mind you, the vocals for Vienna is not an easy piece to deliver. But I'll give it a go none the less. I just need to buy a new mic stand, because almost all my gear is at the bands new rehearsal room. Did you have more lyrics for it? Fire it here, ...

Re: Glider Rider (Makke rip-off)

Meh, has some clipping issues and whatnot. Was so-so successful with stretching your voice to fit with the intro. overall, I'd say its listenable. The words are a bit unclear in the intro, but it works pretty well anyway. I think you could make the words clearer by using the clean voice I sent and ...

Re: Glider Rider (Makke rip-off)

Edit: I was thinking maybe doing it another style, more soft and slow, but with your lyrics. Would that be ok? Does anybody know anyone that would be able to sing? Go for it. I'd volunteer to sing, but I really don't have time for it, plus most of my gear's packed up and moved to the band's new reh...

Re: Glider Rider (Makke rip-off)

What did you use to "vocode" the voice though? I think I should use a different sound maybe, to have some difference. Those vocals sound awesome with the vocoding you used though. I think the main vocal track was vocoded with a 303-like synth, and the chorus was vocoded with a preset call...

Re: Glider Rider (Makke rip-off)

I wasnt planning on releasing it because its so similar to your remix of the song. Maybe I will now that you have approved? Hey, we're remixing here, it's all about the stealing! Plus, it's not like I invented unz or anything. I think DHS did. ;) I'm goning to look for the vocal tracks when I get h...

If you want to, I could probably dig the vocals out from a back up disc somewhere.
Mordi wrote:I don't plan on releasing it on RKO.
Why not? It's good! :)

Ah. Then you'll probably ignore my comment about dropping the auto tuner. (You'll understand once the remix is approved for RKO.) ;)

Re: Great moments in games

Oh, there are so many moments, but to narrow it down a bit... Intro screen and music to Desert Strike First time loading the game, and seeing the screen with the helicopter come on and hear the music start. My jaw dropped. Instant love. The game was/is really good as well, still play it every once i...

I think of the ones I have, my Initech-shirt is the nerdiest. But, the Retardi shirt's probably my favourit. I rarely use it though. Mostly at geek gatherings. ;)

I'd like to have the "Stand back! I'm going to try science!"-shirt at http://store.xkcd.com/

Re: Stolen Amiga Melody?

This is a pretty well known rip off by now. It was uncovered years ago.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormbl%C3%A5st

It was the keyboardist who stole the Agony song, and didn't tell the band about it. The song, Sorgens Kammer, was left out on the re-recording of the Stormblåst album.
