I'm sure I speak for the whole forum when I say: You utter, utter bastard. Indeed...although I guess I shouldn't complain, I got as far as Trondheim, Norway myself and it was awfully pretty there too. I didn't get to do a whole lot of tourism, though, since I was mainly working . It's kin...

Blocking guestbook spam
Anyone who's had a look at the guestbook at the Axes Denied website lately has probably noticed that we're currently having a pretty heavy problem with spam. Our current solution is to do a manual clean-up daily, which, frankly, isn't much of a solution, so we're looking for something more proactive...

Re: I'm outta here...
.., to Chalkidiki, Greece, tomorrow, having a few Barcadis at the beach! I've been there once, with my parents and brother - must have been something like twenty years ago, I was on first or second grade maybe. My most vivid recollection is of seeing an Operation Thunderbolt machine at a local arca...

I've really not gotten into the Wold Cup mood yet. Same here, but I'm pretty confident I will once the show gets started. Haven't picked a particular team to root for, but I expect it'll be loads of fun all the same. The previous Cup certainly was, especially the final, as I happened to be in Helsi...

I guess for me the spark was seeing Machinae Supremacy live at Assembly '02. Back then I was only vaguely aware of the band and the remix scene in general, but the idea of possibly scoring a gig at Asm03 got me and a couple of mates really excited. We were already in a band together, so we decided t...

HARD ROCK HALLELUJAH! Honestly, I thought I'd never see the day. They must be looking for extra blankets and making hot chocolate in hell right now. This was the first time in oh so many years that I watched the damn contest, but I sure am glad I did. I giggled like a madman throughout the vote coun...

Gay people always want to be respected and treated as normal people ) equal rights ), which is fine by me..... But why the hell do they also want to stand out ( see gay parades etc. ). That's a contradiction i can't really fathom. It's not necessarily a contradiction. If you feel that you're being ...

Yeah, looks pretty nasty, but I don't think that reflects the quality of the conference, even though it is a first-timer. Doesn't look like it's going to be hardcore science, but the presentation topics seem interesting - not just the C64 one, I'd really like to see the one about next generation dig...

SID goes academic
I received a rather interesting letter from my union today - a conference invitation . Nothing odd about that (although this is probably the first time I've been sent one via snailmail), but what really caught my eye was the programme. Apparently one of the conference themes is technology and music,...

I made the mistake of listening to all five lessons at work today. Then I made the even bigger mistake of repeating my first mistake. It's a good thing my roomie at the office was out most of the time, I did my best to laugh silently but I think he still would have taken me for a complete loony. Als...
