I had never heard the game or the SID before..

The game reminds me of the classic Dynamite Dan, but with extra BLOOD!

Platoon and the Red Hot Chili Peppers..

Have you heard the new single, Can't Stop from RHCP?
(love the weird video as well)

Those guitar chords sound like Platoon subtune 3 from Jon Dunn

Anyone done any remixes in a RHCP stylee?

Good remix Makke, 80's synthpop is the future

Actually, I'd love to hear you do a remix of that song CAMOUFLAGE, you know, the one where the guy talks about a ghost saving him..

Oh, and have a go at Paul Hardcastle sometime..

2Klang, it's a fact of life that whatever you do, critics will complain..

But go ahead, it would be interesting to hear what you achieved back then. I vote for uploading them!

You mean odd, as in "wearing a Commodore t-shirt and going to a nightclub for a night of 64 remixes" sort of odd, don't you?

I used to record 64 music on to tape to listen to.

Then I started writing my own

Now it's CD's with posh labels

Maybe that's why I'm single..

Hey, 2Klang, another great remix in among the BIG update on RKO yesterday.

"Storm" has got that real 80's feel, a bit Pet Shop Boys, a bit Kraftwerk, and a very nice beat.

When I spoke to Richard Joseph at Back in Time 3, Barbarian is one of the things we discussed. I told how much I liked those tunes, and he mentioned that some reviews didn't like it - BECAUSE it was inspired by Conan. I think it fits the game perfectly, as do those incredible SFX. Chris, I look forw...

What I meant by noises was similar to Follin's Ghouls'n' Ghosts or Staff of Karnath - a few sounds at the start to make an atmosphere of the cold, wet, dark castle. Also, check out Waz's Halloween or X-Files rainstorm SIDs - very nice atmosphere.

RE Knight Games 2

Definitely orchestral, also medieval (never know how to spell that word properly).. First impression on hearing the SID - if I didn't know it was Wally Beben, I could have guessed it was him. Not quite Whittaker, not quite Galway, somewhere in between. Interesting that Stadium64 classifies Knight Ga...

Hoomish, I'm in pole position in your thread again :D

Castle Master IS very atmospheric, definitely needs some thunder crashes and wind noise (no, not Kenz and his "wind" recordings) to set off a slow, medieval remix.

Never played Knight Games 2, I felt the original was AWFUL, particularly loading the events separately.
English Software never quite made it to the top, did they?

Rob Hubbard recorded himself playing at the piano for a couple of hours, then transcribed the results for the tunes..
As you rightly say, subtune 1 is based on the arcade machine.

How about a SuperCPU conversion of the Dragon's Lair games?

And I look forward to the remix(es)

RE:Loopz

Hi 2Klang, very good remix, love the Jarre style ending. have to agree with the others that one or two notes sound out of place.
A good attempt at a Whittaker tune that IS repetitive in the melody, but a very atmospheric tune in the game itself..

RE: Boulderdash

Never liked Boulderdash, best thing are those clinky clanky sound effects when the diamonds drop.. I preferred Repton 3, which ZZAP! hated. No accounting for taste.
