Re: Going back to my roots!!

After a few weeks of practise I can happily say that I got my playing to a standard that will feature in my remixes. So look out for my up and coming remixes with my newly found skill! I already have some ideas that will benefit from this sound for future c64 remixes and I've just been putting the f...

Re: Beepy beepy fwit fwoo!

Interesting post links. Though I get the impression that it was aimed at Hippies of the 70s no wonder punk took off as prog rock was taking over! Some of its predictions were true such as the ability to make your own music but the bit about the alpha brain waves was way off unless they bolt it onto ...

Re: Looking for acctual mod or midi files of turrican

Here are some mods for turrican : http://modarchive.org/index.php?query=turrican&request=search&search_type=filename_or_songtitle Thats an interesting link! I'd like to branch out into Amiga tunes. How do I get to hear the mod files? Can I load them into an Amiga emulator or do I need to co...

Re: IMG I Got A Novachord - The Worlds 1st Polyphonic Synth!!

Interesting as I've never heard of one before this post. Can see now why the moog was such a breakthrough for musicians with this beast coming in at over 160 tubes! I guess your electric bill is going to be sky high!!! It does make nice sounds, not organ like surprise Vangelis and Jarre haven'...

Re: Going back to my roots!!

It's all coming back to me slowly though its a bit like not walking for a long time and then you have to, you know what to do but your legs think otherwise!

Got a great Amiga Remix I'd like to have a go at when I finally get to an aquired level of playing skill; Sly Spy Secret Agent.

Questions about Amiga Remix

Hi,

I'm thinking of doing some Amiga Remixes but I have a question.

1) Can I still use my account name for C64 remixes or do I need to create a new one for Amiga Remix.

Jack The Nipper (70's Kids Tv Remix)

As the guys at RKO take a very much deserved break from releasing remixes. I thought I'd put this remix up in the mean time. It's a fun little remix that was done by putting my TX7 through a lo-fi processor to get those odd harmonics and the idea is based on a certain kids tv show whose name escapes...

Re: R.I.P Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson.

The week he died I was listening to the Marc Almond album; Fantastic Star and one of the tracks talks about famous musicians who have died. It features the lines; "And who will be next on the big cross of fame, A white sequined glove and a big famous name?" Never paid much attention to tha...

Most stupid comment(s) you've had for a remix?

After reading about the voting system thought I 'd start this topic on stupid comments you have had for a remix. Maybe the guy posting just didn't get it or just didn't realise what they had written. I haven't had many but one of the best ones that made me laugh was someone commented; "It sound...

Going back to my roots!!

I've decided to go back to my roots as it were and start playing the Trumpet again. It got me interested in playing and performing music. Hopefully in the future it will be incorporated into my remixes I never liked brass sound from synths no matter how good they are! Thing is though, its been nearl...

Re: 'djbalor' caught stealing C64 remixes

There will always be people ruining it for others. That's how some people are. Fact of life. But you have to ask yourself: Why am I in the game. Why am I doing this. For them? ...or for the people who enjoy your work. Focus on the good stuff. That's the important bit. I agree. I think I would be mo...

Re: Article: The Remix64 Voting System

I like the voting system its fair and mostly honest. I hate it when people say like on You tube for example "oh that's fantastic!" when its not! I try not to remix for a specific audience. I do the remix as a challenge for myself and what I want it to sound like and if the public like it t...
