Re: Darn MIDI timing on PCs!
The Rm1x by Yamaha is a cheap and powerful alternative. Its what I use to seq my tracks. Vince Clarke also complained of Midi timing and has reverted to not using it whether he does these days I don't know. Of course we can also throw midi out of the equation and get back to using our own midi timin...

Slay Radio vote question
When I click on a remix on SidFind, a box pops up that has all the tune info. In the box at the right, it says Slay Radio Vote with a % what does this mean and how is it worked out?
Many thanks for any help.

Re: Learning to Play Instruments at an Older Age
I don't think age should be much of a problem once you learn the basics. That being scales and chords. You could even play it by ear and record it into your fav sequencer. The one thing I've learned about doing these remixes is you may be a gifted musician or maybe have the most expensive synth you ...

Re: My Oxygene 8 remix
It's ok Analog -x64, your equipment and ears are not deceiving you! This track is an experimental track and is supposed to sound thin. On the official Oxygene 8 single release there is a remix that starts off with a low-fi sound so I decided to carry this idea to it's conclusion. It's been produced ...

My Oxygene 8 remix
Hi C64 music fans, I've produced a Jean Michel Jarre track Oxygene 8. I didn't want it to sound exactly like the original though I've tried to retain the basic feel of it. I've called it; Transistor Radio Remix as you will understand why when you hear it. The track was done by using Eminent string s...

Re: Listen to your own tunes?
When I first start a tune I get very excited with the sound and concept but as it's completed, I don't tend to listen to it any more because I've heard it so many times. Sometimes though, I'll listen to an old piece to hear if I have improved on my sound. From listening to DVD commentary actors &...

Re: WIP: Adam Gilmore - Draconus (Speeds of Three Remix)
Sounds like Scooter!! I was considering doing this one Skitz in a prog-rock Emerson, Lake & Palmer style mix. One for my to-do list in 2009. Currently working on a new David Whittaker remix at the moment from his 1986 Mastertronic game which hopefully should be released by the end of November.

Re: The voting system on rko
I agree putting a green face without commenting, when several listeners have already given positive votes is not helpful or constructive. One of the reasons I submit songs to this site is because the listeners are truthful and this in turn helps develop your music (for the better hopefully!) If you ...
