Okay Tom, hope you like it! Didn't use the first part of the song, although it's great but I had to prioritize a bit you know. :)

BTW my girlfriend got the melody stuck in her head for days now :P

Thanks again for your very constructive comments. It is of course subjective until a certain level, the response curve can be measured, and I suppose my remix could be more linear in the bottom end, which may account for the perceived lack of low end material on your system. I will look into providi...

Hi CraigG! Thanks for your comments! Being a pro mixer, I can tell you the bass isn't quiet in the Robocop 3 remix. The Arkanoid one needed a bit more bass I think, this was due to some low freq overcompression in the mastering - too lazy at 03:00 am! :-) However, it may seem so due to the fact that...

The Renaissance plugins are VST:s, aren't they? Most probably the mentioned compressor from that company should be available as VST. Don't quote me on that, though. Nope. Waves plugins are directX plugins, avaiable in vst through the waveshell plugin. This allow automation, but i don't think ...

Hi mr. Lagerfeldt. I used to wear your perfume, long time ago. Or that wasn't you? icon_wink.gif Anyway - great remix. Nice bounce, well produced and well, awesome! >Hi and thank you very much! I don't do perfumes though, maybe you're thinking of Lagerfeld? :-) I have a question for you: These days ...

Sidechaining is the term for controlling a compressor using an external source for triggering the compressor. Also called "key in" or sometimes "ducking". A de-esser is basically a frequency dependent compressor using sidechaining. The trick is done in order to maximize headroom ...

Well, I agree that the most important thing is to feel at home and to simply know the room. Once you know it, and know the traps and pitfalls, you can adjust accordingly in the mix. And listening to your mixes it's damn near perfection anyway. Although Y.O.U. does have an excessive amount of lowfreq...

Oh, and it's Lagerfeldt with dt, not confusing me with Karl Lagerfeld, the famous gay designer (not that I have anything against gays, I just have something against designers with long gray hair) :D

Yup, knew that one for a long time but it only gives you a little more room DSP-wise, but neat if you're running real low and not in the mood to bounce or freeze. And BTW it doesn't work on everything, but it will work on audio instruments like ES2 and soforth. But seriously tom, howabout some more ...

Yeah me too, using 9.2.2 in the studio. But I am considering changing one day to OSX when I can get all the stuff I need on OSX, most important are the Waves plugins (Renaissance, L1, etc.) which are now available in AU format actually, so we're getting closer. But OSX is very slooow and LAP is not ...

Aren't you worried if it's going to be too dead if there's absorbers almost everywhere? (that's what I understood from your description). Or maybe there isn't foam to the back of you and only a bit in the ceiling ? (better solution IMO) My control room is Live-End-Dead-End to improve stereo percepti...
