Re: New tune and thoughts on "Sounding Thin" thread

Just wanted to ask you guys for feedback on the 'sound' of this tune. I dropped a post about the "thin-ness" ( is that a real word :nonono: ) of my Lightforce mix and was hoping to get some feedback on the progress of this one. Any advice would be extremely helpful.. I think I understand ...

I did some logos in the artwork forum and did a recreate of it for Trace.

Re: WIP Ocean Loader 3 Concept Remix

One thing you should fix: Sometimes the words aren`t long enough shown - if english isn`t your native language (like me) you can`t read THAT fast. So i missed the end of some sentences and had to "rewind". Thanks Sarah - Great feedback. :D The video is only to give people the idea of what...

WIP Ocean Loader 3 Concept Remix

Ok, I have this idea for a c64 / arcade / Amiga music project... (idea for a CD) Sort of a continuous sound-scape which flows from one track to the next... In short, Historical Music Journey with remixes of my favourite stuff, C64 lives - C64 dies - Amiga lives - Amiga dies - both will live forever ...

Re: How do YOU make your music?

So again before I say anything... I'm like a total noob, when it comes to making music, I dont master any of my recordings, other than play with the volume level, treble and bass. I know I should be playing with Frequencies and make sure the instruments sit in their own space, but I haven't progres...

Re: How do YOU make your music?

OK - when I started this thread, I was on Windows Phone so it would have been painful to do a full submission... First things first - Commie, matey! Do please try to pay attention.. How do YOU make your music?

This is the place to talk about your hardware and software setup. Ideally, we'll end up with more than just a 'kit list'. The how and the why will be useful for less-experienced remixers, hopefully!

Re: SID vs MIDI

There is one particular tune that I want to take a stab at remixing and in my head I can hear this epic sounding thing that can become of it. Problem is, manipulating the hardware/software to make it sound like what I'm hearing in my head. That is the thing though, isn't it? Taking what you hear in...

Re: how to rip instruments from sids

I have to agree with Razmo on this. Back then, the waveforms were defined in 6502 assembly language and then loaded at run-time, (i.e in the tune) vFRTLSS....DFW +10,-10,+10,0:DFL 3,6,3,0,10,%00000101 ...............DFL 50,50,0,%00000101:DFW +40,-40,$0400 ...............DFL %01000001,$09,$CD,05,100 ...

Re: SID vs MIDI

I think that having the ability to revisit the '3-voice' tunes from the mid 80's and remix, redo, re-arrange them is all good! On one level, It's like being able to add colour and texture to a black & white sketch. Whether you were a composer or a listener back then, (or now) doesn't matter eith...
