Re: Yahama XG compatible module or keyboard..?

I used to have a db50 strapped to an old ISA Sb16 at one time.. Have to admit to missing that little beast of burden more than once. In the right hands that thing used to sing ( have a search for David Kelly ( goes by Sonic too )), especially a midi file called Buttblower.. It's a public domain file...

Re: Intro Rolls.

That's the key problem with 3d.... Everyone assumes 'Imitation'..... It's just whether or not somethings Looks! good I question too.. As for the real instruments, sadly I bet you most people couldn't tell a real instrument from a virtual one anymore.. Do you have a soundcloud page or something like ...

Re: Intro Rolls.

Okay I just have to pick up on this.. One of my Real pet hates.. The guy at the BBC had the distinct advantage that the objects he used to create this model already existed in the real world, surface properties are fixed, metal is metal and looks like metal, reacts like metal to light and atm...

Re: Delta Ingame...

Oh yes I like this!! oh yes I do.. The only! and I mean only! bit that sounds 'off' is around the 2:05 mark where the higher notes come in' it's very abrupt but its a wip so hell can't argue.. Delta's always been one ( and I'm a Galway boy heh ) of my fave Rob tunes because of the way it feels compa...

Re: New Studio.

As commie said, its all in the perspective, all 3 monitors are 4:3 Aspect ratio and are the same size, and have the ability to rotate from Landscape to Portrait. Heh commie mentioned perspective, but was on about spreading the display over the 2 monitors running the display over 2 screens off the o...

Re: Just an idea.

I'm liking this more and more .. The percussion fits nicely too.. ( almost arkanoidy :D ) not so sure about the little er.. trills on the notes at 0:56 ish though feels like the tunes losing it's smoothness? ( best way I can describe it )

Keep at it matey.. keep at it..

Re: WIP Ocean Loader 3 Concept Remix

You know what, I'm glad you kept the old/new sound in there. The 64 gave the songs energy I think, Its soul came through in the sound of the SID something recognizable as a 64. That 'buzz' to its voice that the other machines lacked and having a tune that virtually every 64 user has heard fits the p...

Re: New tune and thoughts on "Sounding Thin" thread

Poke16384, gotta say the ' sort the tune, watch wibbly lines' later makes me feel better. Just wondering how many hours are spent pondering over wibbly lines? :duh: Have had a productive night and I'm actually really pleased with how it's going. ( kinda gone a bit synth/rush crazy hehe ) . Quick upd...

Re: New tune and thoughts on "Sounding Thin" thread

Poke16384, thanks for the reply.. This is exactly what I needed to hear. I'm finding the "sound quality" of the tune is aggravating me more than the actual tune. I spent so long sliding this and that' watching wibbly lines bounce around' and ending up going around and around. Still' I supp...

Re: evryone safe?

Looking over as an Englishman living in Canada now, I've gotta say I'm kinda embarrassed to be British at the mo. Regardless of social or political problems, this kind of behaviour just reinforces the stereotype that the British are a bunch of beer swilling hooligans. Sighh.. You know what Commie, I...

New tune and thoughts on "Sounding Thin" thread

Just wanted to ask you guys for feedback on the 'sound' of this tune. I dropped a post about the "thin-ness" ( is that a real word :nonono: ) of my Lightforce mix and was hoping to get some feedback on the progress of this one. Any advice would be extremely helpful.. http://soundcloud.com/...
