Re: [BUG?] RKO uploader not working
I'm out of ideas right now. The upload still fails! I tried to upload the tune from different computers with different browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, IE) and different operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux). I also encoded the tune with different lame encoders (up to the newest version...

Re: [BUG?] RKO uploader not working
Same thing here. About one minute or two, but I haven't had to wait longer. I guess a timeout can be excluded. Unfortunately I can't try it by using the IE, because I don't have it anymore. But I don't think that would change anything. So it's not because of a timeout, a browser problem (as I mentio...

Re: What do you prefer VST or Hardware.
And that's absolutely ridiculous in my humble opinion. I would never support that! But I agree with Razmo, that there's a difference if you're comparing the real hardware with a VST-emulation. But it's not very relevant because of its minimality. Otherwise, if you want to get THAT special sound, the...

Re: [BUG?] RKO uploader not working
I did it the same way as always and changed nothing. I usually use CDex for encoding, but without question everything works fine except uploading at RKO. All my other tunes were encoded the same way. I tried the upload using Firefox 13.0.1 as well as Safari, but same thing. The message I received is...

Re: [BUG?] RKO uploader not working
Uploading a tune seems not to work. I tried it several times without success. Everytime I try I get the message that for one thing the sid couldn't be found in the database and for another thing the filetype of my uploaded track would be wrong. This is definitely not the case! Here's the message I r...

Re: Techno & Elektro
That's ok, because that's the only way it should be. :) In this case I wanted to know what people are thinking about the mastering. If it rockz or suckz, you know?! 8) I just don't know what kind of effort you mean if you say "You have to put a lot of effort into it to make a listenable Remix&q...

Re: Techno & Elektro
Well, I think both Elvira-Remixes I've made are "listenable". The Garden remix has been criticised because of its music style, which wouldn't fit to the original. Otherwise people are criticising other remixes because of being too close to the original and remixers should create som...

After LMan's hint using a maximizer for the mastering I tried to handle it. I used it in 3 "clubbish" tracks next to the Elvira Garden-Remix on amigaremix. In my opinion it sounds better than the first tracks I released on soundcloud or remix.kwed. Please tell me what you think. Improvemen...

Re: What do you prefer VST or Hardware.
I'm not a pro and I probably won't become one. It's just the fun that keeps me going making music and to spend some time on improving my skills in how to handle the substance. And of course I need a lot of space for my life next to the music, so I prefer creating music using only one program control...

Re: Music notes for video games
Absolutely! I don't want to create Remakes, I want to create Remixes. It's just a little help to get the right notes quicker. I don't have the time to figure it out for hours, because I need 36 hours a day for all the things I want to do, but unfortunately there are only 24... :? I tried Sid2Midi an...

Re: Music notes for video games
Well, all right. Then I'll have to figure it out by ear, as I always did it before. Or I'll check out the tool sid2midi, but first of all I must have to take a look at my program and find out how to import midi files. Maybe I should do this, because things are getting much easier if I do so, right?!...

Music notes for video games
Is anybody out there knowing a website concerning music notes from video games? It takes too long to find out all the little notes from fast and complicated tunes from video games. There are some tunes I wanted to remix, but I stuck getting the right notes from a few sections. And there's nothing wo...

Re: Updated tutorial on digital mastering.
I've updated my old DIY mixing and mastering tutorial, hope it is of some use. :) http://www.remix64.com/faq_tut_digital_mastering.html I was going to ask a question but then I discovered this thread. Thanks, I think I've found what I was searching for. I never used a maximizer but I will try it ou...

Absolutely perfect SID: BZQC6AffuxE Can't get done better. For sure. Nearly perfect SID: Ozv5VTHljaw Maybe a REAL good remixer with a lot of experience in creating fucking great electronic style music could up the ante, although anyhow it's very hard. I would love to discover an abolutely perfect re...

Re: a Tribute to Jochen Hippel - OUT NOW !!!
I wonder that everbody's offering mp3 tracks always in 320 kbps. Can someone tell me the advantage of a 320 kbps mp3 compared to a 256 kbps mp3? As far as I know there's no audible difference if the tune has 256 kbps or more, even compared to a wave file. And is there anyone who can recommend a wave...
