Re: Aargh there isn't enough time!

Ditto. Which is part of the reason that the latest episode of the C64 Takeaway was almost two years ago.

On the plus side, I've also been doing volunteer work at the local arcade (yes, they do still exist) since March so that eats up quite a bit of time.

Re: jealousy, bitterness and idiocy

As far as I recall, the C64 Mafias " Paperboy (So you don't like rap music) " was born out of the exact same frustrations that you're encountering - bad reviews left by peoples distaste for a particular genre, and nothing else. Honestly, I thought that the community had matured on since th...

Re: Jeroen Tel - Tel Me More (Remake Album)

Roughly 25 hours to go now, and despite the campaign probably not achieving the symbolic goal of 38.911 USD[1], Jeroen has posted an update that the album and various perks will see the light of day. I chipped in $10 for the MP3/FLAC download version. [1] Notice anything familiar about that number? :D

Re: Jeroen Tel - Tel Me More (Remake Album)

The major differnce between Kickstarter and Indiegogo is that the latter uses what they call "flexible funding". Which means that Jeroens campaign will receive all funds raised regardless of it reaching its goal or not. Which might keep some people from chipping in. The arcade where I volu...

Had I been there I probably wouldn't have recognised most of the regulars, what with everyone transforming into bearded vikings since last time. :)

Good man. Well, "Good men" really. Sorry I didn't pick up on it being a playful comment. But good to see that Chris did.

Move along, everyone. :)

Re: Dave Lowe remaking Amiga & C64 game tracks

I for one think that Chris did a commendable job at promoting the Dave Lowe kickstarter, both through his various social media accounts, and in the Project Sidologie e-mail updates. That being said, I have not backed the Uncle Art project, as I'm more of a C64 fan (obviously). If you want to blame s...

Re: Removed remix entries?

Short answer: Yes, you're right - and no, I don't. In that order. Longer answer: Sometimes there's a gap in remix IDs due to people uploading the same track twice by mistake, sometimes people request that old tunes are removed, sometimes stuff gets rejected during queue processing. And there's proba...

Re: Driller

The STIL doesn't mention whether one version came before the other, so for all we know Wally Beben did both at the same time.

I concur with Chris - no problem in submitting to both AR and RKO. :)

Re: What are you playing right now?

I have enjoyed the iPad port of Papers, Please rather a lot, but 13 days into its story mode I got a bit weary of the constant shuffling of papers, and (still) having no prospects for establishing a better life for the protagonist and his family. One could argue that this is one of the messages that...

RKO 2014 torrent is out

Good News, Everyone! The RKO 2014 bittorrent archive has been released. It's a 1,01 Gb download containing all 121 tunes added during 2014. If you can help seed (preferably around the clock), please do so - even if you already have all the files sitting on your harddrive. I'll keep the initial seed ...

Re: Smaller Size of the Forum?

I for one welcome our Responsive Overlords.

That being said - with "view unread posts" moved into the "quick links" menu, it now takes two clicks to get to it instead of the previous single click. Ironic, isn't it?
