Re: Cinemware on iPhone
Actually I preferred the C64 version of Defender of the Crown to its' Amiga counterpart. Agreed. Though the graphics of the Amiga version is to this day awesome! Absolutely loved Wings. Agreed! Sadly I never got around to trying King of Chicago. I didn't like it, but I didn't get around to playing ...

Album bought. Link posted to Facebook. Album downloading. Looking forward to first listen!
Nice one, LMan! I thought you were like me, never finishing anything these days. I'm so glad I was wrong. Perhaps I should start finishing things too.

Re: JMJ - Essentials & Rarities.
The Rareties CD is on Spotify, btw. And the track listing is on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essentials_%26_Rarities Seems a bit of an odd compilations, as the Essentials part is aimed at the "general public" who wants a bit of Jarre, and the Rarities for the die hard, "gim...

Re: JMJ - Essentials & Rarities.
Is it me, or are these kinds of albums always a lot less satisfying than you think they'll be? I agree. It's often like that because they've been compiled without coherent structure, without a story to tell. No context. Then they're simply a bunch of unfinished tracks, that didn't make it onto any ...

Re: OT: Beastie Boys - Streaming new album.
I had a listen to it, but sadly wasn't blown away. It's not bad, but it's hard to reach those peaks they had in the 90's. Mind you, I found Fight For Your Right Revisited highly entertaining (and it features one of the albums funkiest tracks). It's available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Happy 10th birthday Remix64.com
Ten years of friendship! Because that's what this place is - highly concentrated friendship. Remix64 kind of gave me an outlet for things my "normal" friends couldn't give me. Some of my "normal" friends were (and still are) retro computer geeks, but most of them are not. Most of...

I wonder how many other comic fans we have on here? Here's another one. Which reminds me, I need to get the last Planetary volume! I'm an on-and-off consumer though. And I usually end up buying collections, not single issues - mainly because they're easier to store conveniently in a book shelf. I p...

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I thought I'd use this thread for a music tip. I've been listening a lot to Tesla Boy's Modern Thrills album. It's a great synthpop album, which feels a bit like if Chris Hülsbeck would've produced a-ha.

Re: Makke Gathering Special 2005 MP3 Files
I had a quick look around for it at home, but I've moved three times since it was recorded and aired, so the backup disc it's on could be anywhere!
I'll have another look for it next time I'm up in the attic.

Re: *URGENT*BAFTA Awards ceremony TONIGHT to feature SID rem
Wow! That's. Just. Wow!
And that Last Ninja 3 remix was one of the tracks I never really came to peace with, because I didn't feel I got it massive enough. But hey. If it's good enough for BAFTA, I guess it's alright.
I shall have to check the stream out when I get home from work.

Re: Voting for a remix: objectivity and the like
I agree with you, nada. It's been an increasing trend over the past few years. A larger quote of the voters go more by heart than on technical merit. So we see an increase in "rap/metal/symphonic stuff suck!" type of comments. The reasons are probably many, but I'm sensing that less votes ...
