Someone finally remixes Desert Dream? This I have to hear. In progress... I love the voice from It Came from the Desert, a classic. Nice flute, fits nicely. Its gets a bit more powerful sounding. Thanks for this easter egg! I *whip* expect the sequels. :)

I agree with your other points Markus but an offline alternative I don't like. Then you can't get new stuff. I allready have most if not all of kwed on my harddrive. Thus I'm interested in new stuff. The kwed site is unlikely to go down if the bandwith is used to serve up ED2K links I'd say. P2P is ...

Hello: Its still one site. And as for virii - do you seriously suggest songs be encoded into exes? I don't see any mp3 or ogg harming my computer. Also, the hash code for a file should mean you cannot just fake a file. It is also possible to have submission from one site and links at multiple sites ...

Someone suggested P2P. That sounds like a nice idea. To have a site with P2P links to files, eDonkey I guess. Then noones gonna complain about bandwidth and there is still a central place to get the remix lists with information such as remixer and original sid.

Are you suggesting that you have not tested it yourself? ;) It worked for some 30-40 seconds and then abruptly stopped.

Np. Be sure to check that Kasparov demo as well. I used to think "damn Farb-Rausch has stolen some ideas from Elitegroup" and then I learned about the name change. It has some inspiration from Half-Life and the coolest part of the demo is perhaps the superb synchronization of camera motion...

Lazy are you trace? :) There is a tool called Demopaja which I haven't tried and don't know if is still under development but it seems handy. Not for tiny intros though, I should think.

Back in the ole, or oler days, they called themselves elitegroup. They made a demo called Kasparov which I can recommend. For scene related downloads there is also the very cool site http://scene.org. It has a couple of mirrors.

There is a misunderstanding, I wrote: "...to have the ability to submit a new remix directly to remix64.com and in fact not just one link but as many links as one sees fit..." which impies that either I meant links or I meant the files themselves. I did however mean the former. Not that it...

multiple links

To put less strain on a certain site and to make remixes more resident on the net it would be nice to have the ability to submit a new remix directly to remix64.com and in fact not just one link but as many links as one sees fit. As a further extension broken links can be automatically detected at s...

Over the years i've come to notice there are two sets of fans... Purists, and creativists (yeah i made that word up). There are two sets of people. The ones who believe there are two sets of fans and the ones who don't. The set that unites the two sets is the set of people that like quality. :) I h...

Dune

I just saw Dune and having played Dune as well and having liked its music a lot, I thought I'd suggest it as another candidate for remixin. In fact there are multiple songs in Dune. My favourite is Wormsign. It is played during the intro animation, which is actually pretty cool. The other two, Ecolo...

Hey Zapper! I used to listen to your s3m's on amiga and pc later, allways liked them. This remix is quite good, among the better ones. Don't stop now! :)
