Re: New Release - It's Cybernoid II, Jim (but not as we know it)

I should offer my humble apologies to you Jan.. :sadnod:

My new remix, (and indeed all of my remixes) was and have been released by: Remix.Kwed.Org and I will not overlook that fact again. :D

You have my appreciation & gratitude for the work you put in all year round...... Pete

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Welcome Alisha... There's a nice mixed bunch or musicians, programmers and fans here who all have one thing in common; we all love C64 & Amiga music. I was gonna say and we're all geeks but I suppose there's a few 'Muggles' here too.. ...and welcome Rob.. Musta missed saying Hi to you back in Ja...

Re: Who actually created the music?

In answer to your 'question 4'... I would guess that 2 copyrights exist... The copyright for the film music.. belonging to either the composer or the film/production, (depending on how the music was contracted... music bought outright or composer hired to compose) ...and then the intellectual copyri...

Re: New Release - Defender of the Crown (The Elf's Story)

Sure! I remember reading a post / update / news thingy about it from Chris Abbott.. maybe late last year?

I definitely read it though.. more of a tweak to disregard single outliers... (or maybe they should be called out..liars)

Maybe someone can remember where it was...

Re: New Release - Defender of the Crown (The Elf's Story)

Thanks _Steve_.. It did turn out quite well, even if I do say so mys'elf'.. :D ..and as far as omoroca is concerned.. LMan's new voting algorithm disregards single, outlying votes. So, a single grey or green has very little, if any effect at all.. If he really thinks that 'Defender of the crown' or ...

ROTY AWARDS 2019 / Slay Radio Interview

I listened in to a great 'live' show on Saturday - Well Done! @everyone who helped Thank you so much, to everyone who voted for me and my remixes in 2019. It's one thing to be recognised for the music I created back in the mid-80's but even more complimentary to be recognised for the music i'm still...

Re: Video analysis of a proffesional pop song(study)

It really is an educational watch.. It's amazing how many instrument-parts are actually playing 'off the beat'... Early, to be precise.... and the use of 'Rise & Hit' type risers into the chorus.. You hear them so much in film music but it didn't occur to me that they had a place in pop or rock ...

Re: Music on Remix64

Chris (Abbott) can probably give you absolute clarity on the legal side of this... Speaking from experience and as a musician, C64 composer, remixer, etc.. Most composers here, seem really happy to have their compositions, remixes & covers, used by others with a few conditions.. 1). That you con...

Prague recording sessions.

So, I managed to catch most of the last 2 days of recording and what an absolute treat it was.. It really gave me a deeper insight into the way the individual sections of the orchestra play-off each other both apart and together. It is something I will carry into future remixes. Thank you Chris, Dam...

Re: regarding music theory

Assuming that we're talking about subtune 2 of the paperboy.sid.... Whilst I haven't pulled this apart in SID2MIDI, (or similar), my initial feel on listening is that it's C7 & F7 not Cmin & Fmaj.. It's a very 'bluesy' lead-riff and with many blues structures, the bass follows the minor prog...
