Aaaaah! so it's finaly here! :D ... I saw a pre-video of this that was recorded at some music messe (don't remember which)... yes it's a nice instrument, and really a new way of thinking... I'd buy it if the price is right! (but that should make noone wonder  )...

One important thing is though, that it can be used as a controller of other synths... would not want to buy it just for the build in sample-player engine... too restricting in my point of view... I bet that if it's a success, it'll come out as only a controller as well... I'll wait and see.

Looks to me like a "form with lesser function"-device, ie. it's all about design of the looks and concept ("it's pretty to look at but it's useless"). I doubt it'll be a useful musical instrument, but then I've never actually tried it.

One of the funny things about those demo videos of that new device is, if you look at them, the new user look very much like they don't really get it... they look as if they really do not know what to think of the device, but feel they have to "praise" it... that worries me a bit... also, I'm beginning to feel that this is maybe just another strange gimmick... afterall, there must be a reson that Yamaha is "testing" it in the UK at the moment... seems like they are having second thoughts on the device

Anyways, if it does not really catch it, it would make one hell of a childrens gift at christmas!

They'd be better off making something truly handheld (Gameboy size), a decent colour screen and with a stylus for note input.

And some decent sounds, of course (unlike like the Gameboy)...

Meeeeeooooowwwww!!!

I'd love one for xmas. It's a toy for gizmo-geeks. And if there's any connectability through midi I could use it as a simple drum machine. ;)
