So I take it the videogame ban is no longer in effect in Greece?

Though, judging from that "high quality" game on the picture, they were better off with the ban. ;)

I think greeks have very little to do about that: those are the usual crappy things coming from china.

You're definitely right, DHS, though conversating in english with greeks produced similar results.

Ah. You're thinking of "Picassos Äventyr".

It's not that exact line, but I see what you mean, Max. ;)

"Agua?"
"A...?"
"Agua!"
"???"
"AGUA!!!" *jumps around pretending to be showering and swimming*
"Ah! Agua!"
"YES?!"
"No..."

My favourit quote from that movie is when Hans Alfredsson's character screams "Halv liter!" (Half a litre) instead of "Heil Hitler". ;)

These are just crappy chinese games, tons of them imported in my country. I can get you several of those for free but, in the end, who wants them?

Romeo Knight, older Greeks are not renowned for their knowledge of English but I would say that the younger ones are generally decent users of the language.

Have you ever tried to communicate in English with a Spanish or an Italian (no offence, my latin soul brothers!)?

Sorry, I didn't want to discriminate greeks here. Actually I've been twice to Greece now and I absolutely loved it, I'm especially a fan of your food. (viewtopic.php?t=3737)
:cake: :)
Regarding the language it all depends where exactly you go in each country, I think.

I never said that you tried to discriminate the Greeks, Romeo Knight. In fact, I didn't even think about it when reading your lines.
I just made some remarks on a thing called "popular misconceptions" (and, believe me, I'm no proud of being Modern Greek AT ALL).

I prefer to be called "A Citizen Of The World"

That's all, actually...

I know. Nevermind. Still, someone else could have thought that.
