Pc tracker that can play amiga MODs

Post by tomsk »

Okay - thowing this out to anyone who can answer. I know you can get music trackers for the PC, but do any of them allow you to load original Amiga MODs ???

If anyone knows a good / cheap / FREE program to do this then a link would be very much appreciated. I have a load of MODs lying around on the old Amiga which would be nice to salvage for the future. I know that there are plugins for winamp and delilplayer plays MODs but I'd like to edit and see them too !

Thanks in advance

I think Madtracker plays 4-track mods and xm, at least it did. Demo is free.

Modplugtracker is a nice mod player, allthough it doesn't play back some of my amiga mods that good.

xmplayer is a great mod player with some plugins for sid and others :D

Woah ! Thanks guys for the great response (I could say it was instant ;))
Madtracker seems to work a treat, but time permitting I might try a few of the others Hazel points to because some of the pitch bending didn't work in Madtracker.

Still - I got exactly what I wanted. Many thanks again chaps :)

Go for Renoise instead, tomsk. It's a whole lot better, and doesn't cost a lot - especially considering you get a damn fine program for the price they ask. The demo is quite good for trying it out, only a few features have been blocked if I remember correctly.

Renoise is what I use, and it loads Amiga mods and XMs without any problems.

I only tried Skale out for a short while, and it wasn't great but it was still better than Madtracker.

Used one called "Deliplayer" a few times to play my own few mods once in a while, to remember how awful they sounded
