Best of Remix64/RKO

Post by datucker »

I'm going to spend my holidays in about a week. So I am transferring songs to my iPod to enjoy these during the flight and on the beach.

Of course some C64-remixes are among them. I thought there would be some kind of 'Best of Remix64/RKO-collection' on http://tracker.slayradio.org/index.php, but I could not find something like that. Just complete collections.

So, I decided to download the top 10-tracks of the charts of every year (2000 - 2008) and put them in separate directories for every year, which cost me 2 hours or so.

Now I do have my own Best Of Remix64/RKO-collection.

But I wonder, would anyone be interested to have it uploaded as a 'best of'-compilation torrent, just like the complete collections on slacker? I think it would be a nice addition.
With kind regards,

Brilliant idea, that man. Aside from being a neat way to let people grab the top rated stuff in a jiffy, it's also a great way to introduce newcomers to the artform.

Hopefully some of the torrent-seeding folk will help you provide 'permanent' seeds.

As I've already got most of these reviews I wouldn't be interested in downloading a torrent, but I would be interested in a Podcast or Radio Show on this theme.

Apparently the torrent isn't available any more. Probably due to MiniNova cleaning up shop and limiting themselves to stuff submitted by members of their "content distribution" service.

Jarno, any chance you could make the torrent available on http://tracker.slayradio.org/ ? Maybe even add in the 2009 tracks. :)

No problem, I'll take some time for that, hopefully this weekend. I'll add the 2009 top 10 as well then.

Just give me some time and let me know how to get it published on http://tracker.slayradio.org/

Excellent! I've completely forgotten how to upload stuff via the tracker, though - but Misser should be able help you with that. :)

Adding the tracker to the torrent is not the problem but someone has to make sure the torrent will be listed on the page of http://tracker.slayradio.org/ if that doesn't happen automagically.

I'll just get to work first creating a new, updated torrent and then I'll give it a try and contact Misser.

BTW: Happy New Year all you folks!

This exact thing has been done before, it seems. Although 2009's top 10 is naturally missing.

Edit: Aha. It is the same project.

The updated torrent is up. Only one seed right now, so leave your bittorrent client running after you've grabbed it.
